Hello and thanks for looking at my listing I have a 1952 Ford F6 that I built  this rat rod out o.f To start of,f I drive this truck daily with no problems at all and it is getting around 19mpg and has no problems running 65mph at all. The truck has the correct title in my name in my hand with no issues or anything like that it is titled and insured as a 1952 ford with that out of the way,.. the cab was chopped 7 inches, it has a new windshield in the front and the rear glass was cut from the original glass that was in it. There is no side glass, but regulators are in the doors still I beleive they are  froze up but I'm sure they would work again with some time and oil.  I cut the original F6 frame off right behind the cab then built a 2x3 tubing rear frame section. It has a 1998 GM 10 bolt with disk brakes out of a blazer held in with an all adjustable triangulated 4 link set up with two 2500lb air bags that I have set up to just air up to ride height and go once they are aired up, they stay up.  I didnt want all the valves and compressor mess in the truck and the fuel tank is a schedule 40 8 inch stainless pipe with end caps welded on it the tank holds right around 9 gallons and has an new electric pump right at the tank to push the fuel it also has brand new 3/8 stainless fuel line from rear to the carb the everthing on the Rear of the truck is new inside of frame rails except rear end but the pinion seal is new with fresh oil the bed is a 1953 model ford bed that has had 17 inches of lenth 11 inches of width and 8 inches of height took out of it. Now for the front section; it is the original 1952 F6 frame and still has the vin number stamped in the right front rail. I removed the F6 straight axle and springs and bought a 1937 Ford sedan straight axle and sping set up and moved it all the way to the front of the frame and used the original wishbone set up but shortened them and built a cross member under oil pan to use this set and by doing this I could add a little more camber to the front axle making it drive and steer very well along with those modifications it has all new disk brakes on the front and I mean all the way down to the bearings in the rotors it is all GM style and I have all part numbers fo these items for future needs it also has new shocks, spring hanger bushings, new tires on weld racing wheels, on front all the brake lines from front to rear are new along with new GM master Cylinder. It stops very well. The rear wheels are 15x14 with a7.5 offset with 33/19.50/15 Mickey Thompson sportsman pros that are thin but I still runable for a little while.  The engine  is a 8ba 239 Ford flathead that runs very well. It has new plugs wires, fresh oil, filte,r and fresh carb. Starts right and it has all been changed to 12v with new wiring throughout. The tranny is a 4 speed that works very well. This truck was not thrown together with a bunch of junk it is very safe and alot of fun to drive it draws a lot of attention and people are always stopping to take pictures of it no matter where I go. For any more questions please call this number this 270 227 3493 or text for more pic the rear mail seal drips a little and I mean drip it is nothing to keep the truck from driving and running and the seats kind of suck, they need raised up, I put them in to go to car show and have never took them back out to raise. It is more fun to drive then work on. if I have left anything out you are concerned about please call or text thank you for your time.

There are MANY Photos,  I  Prefer that you call the number provided, instead of messaging, I won't be near a computer to answer questions, but can answer the phone, thanks, Andy

This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.

F-150 just the start of Ford's aluminum plans

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Not only have we been told that the 2015 Ford F-150 is tougher, more durable and up to 700 pounds lighter than the current truck, Ford COO Mark Fields said it's also "CAFE-positive." That means, for the first time in the history of corporate average fuel economy standards, the F-150 would be a positive contributor on Ford's CAFE balance sheet instead of being a vehicle it needs to counterbalance with frugal offerings.
Fields' comments made at the Detroit Auto Show were among quotes from other Ford execs that confirmed the carmaker will be using aluminum for more of its vehicles. CEO Alan Mulally said it would "proliferate across our lineup," with speculation being that we'll see it applied to crossover and sport utility models first, since they'll benefit the most. Even gaining the massive scale of using aluminum on the world's best selling vehicle for its first effort - on average, the company sells two times as many F-150s in a single day as Land Rover sells of its aluminum Range Rover in a month - Ford will be looking to further spread the cost of its five-year development investment in aluminum technology. And that should mean better handling and fuel economy for those of us who don't need to wear hardhats at the office.

VW going turbo-only in 3 to 4 years

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

This really was a matter of when, rather than if. Volkswagen will apparently be the first manufacturer to phase out naturally aspirated engines in favor of turbocharging its full slate. VW is kind of responsible for ushering in this push towards small-displacement, turbocharged engines that's taken the industry by storm. When it dropped its direct-injection, 2.0-liter turbo in the 2005 GTI it demonstrated that strapping an iron long to an engine can enhance the powertrain as a whole. VW made fuel economy gains, while also giving a linear, non-laggy turbo experience that it has replicated, model-after-model, to this day.
Speaking with The Detroit News, Volkswagen's executive Vice President of Group Quality, Marc Trahan, told the paper that, "We only have one normally aspirated gas engine, and when we go to the next generation vehicle that it's in, it will be replaced. So three, four years maximum."
Really, it's hard to get teary-eyed about either of these engines going away. VW has access to smaller powerplants that could easily match the performance of the 2.5 five-cylinder and the 3.6 V6, while gobbling up less fuel and providing a better driving experience. What we are sad about is that a similar statement about the extinction of NA engines came from the Vice President of Powertrain Engineering at Ford, Joe Bakaj. We'd certainly get teary-eyed over a world without Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8.
