Up for sale is my 1949 Ford F-1 Classic Pickup truck. (Texas Title states 1949 although looks like 1950-1952). I have owned this truck for about a year now and have begun to rebuilt it since I got it. I am getting married next month so bills and my future wife have forced me to get it sold. I am listing with NO RESERVE so highest bidder takes it. I will list all the information that I have for this truck to the best of my ability however please do not hesitate to ask any more questions as I want to make sure that the winning bidder is satisfied with the purchase made. I have worked on this truck for a long time so it is hard to let it go but I am sure that the new owner will be just as happy with this fantastic truck as I am.
Engine:
This truck has been a project of mine and although not fully complete will make a fantastic show or daily driver truck. This truck has had new paint job, brand new upholstery, carpet, custom matching vynil seat and roof. New wood for Bed inserts just finished and has brand new tires installed by previous owner. Due to the current work on this truck the gas tank has been removed for new carpet and seats to be installed. Mechanicaly this truck has had very little work done as my intentions were to finish the exterior and interiors first then work my way to the engine. This truck does start and run however will need some adjustments and replacements. Truck has a brand new battery purchased at Advanced Auto Parts in August 2012. To the best of my knowledge original engine was replaced with a Ford 460 Engine V8 from a 1970ish Ford Ranger along with transmission (automatic) and rear axels. The carburator does need adjusting as it chokes a little when rpm gets high. The Radiator needs to be fixed or replaced as it does have some leakage. The fan was installed after and although works needs to be worked on as it seems to have been placed on temporarily. The engine will need muffler as pipes were cut (see pictures) and can be a bit noisy at times. The gauges on the truck do not work so will need to be replaced or connected. Electric works great on truck including installed stereo (needs speakers as ones on were stolen. The tuck does have current Texas State inspection until 07/2013.
Paint and Body
The truck needed a lot of work to be completed on the exterior so there were over 200 hrs of good body work perfomed on this truck and over $3500.00 dlls invested in paint, materials and work . The color of the truck is an original Ford color that was chosen to stand out. The truck paint work was performed by a small local shop so its good not for a show truck but it looks great. The trucks interior bed area is the only spot that still would have needed some more work (see pics) but a cover was going to be used so it was left this way. This paint job was done while the bed was removed so chasi protectant was applied under the bed (see pics). The paint was applied to the interior as well. Exterior accesories are needed such as rear view mirrors for doors. Front signal lights are needed. The hood latch system needs adjusting as it does hook and close but is very difcult to re-open or re-close.
Upholstery and Seats
Brand new carpet has been installed on the truck in a grey color. The seat and roof have been covered with a custom two-tone grey matching vynil that I believe looks great.
Wheels and Tires.
This truck has a little bit of a problem with the wheels as you can see on the pics the rear end has 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern and the front has 5 x 5.5" so since I purchased it different wheels have been on the truck. The tires are brand new more than 95% thread left which is good but to complete new wheels will be needed.
Windshield and Windows
Front and rear windshields have been replaced with the original greenis tone glass this month. The truck is needing both door windows as they have not been installed. One door has complete hardware for window to be installed but the driver door needs all the hardware to be completed. The truck did orginaly come with the small corner windows however they were not reinstalled as it needs new rails and seals. Turck does need new wipers as the old ones were removed.
Wood Bed / Rear End
New wood has been isntalled on truck nice stain applied and clear coat finish. The wood bed is needing metal or chrome rails to hold it all together and needs to be tighten to the beds frame. The rear bumper as you can see in pictues is nice however does show small signs of rust so will need to be re-plated or replaced. New Rear tail lights are needed as the current ones although they work would have to be replaced with newer nices ones to fit new trucks finish.
This truck is being sold as is, without any warranty implied or expressed so please make sure to ask any and all questions before bidding. I encourage anyone to come and see the truck in person in Mission, TX at any time during the listing or to have it inspected before purchasing. I am listing all information that I know to the best of my knowledge. I want to make sure that the buyer feels confident of what you are bidding on.
Happy biddings!!

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.

2015 Ford Edge holds line on pricing, starts at $28,100*
Tue, 04 Nov 2014The Ford Edge gets an updated platform, bolder styling and a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine pumping out 245 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque for the 2015 model year. You might expect that all those new features would result in a big price bump, but you'd be wrong. Ford is keeping costs identical to the 2014 model with a starting MSRP of $28,100 (*plus an $895 destination charge), according to Edmunds. Ford spokesperson William Mattiace confirmed the numbers to Autoblog.
That's a pretty good deal, but the real ticket here might be the model's Sport trim. Buyers get a 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine with over 300 horsepower and standard adaptive steering for $28,600 plus destination. That's just $500 more than the base model.
Pricing for the Titanium trim has not yet been announced, but it'll be a short wait to find out. Mattiace tells Autoblog that full pricing and the configuration for the model will launch on November 5. He has also confirmed that the 2015 Edge will begin hitting dealers in the first quarter of 2015.
Trump did talk to Bill Ford, but the Kentucky plant was never moving to Mexico
Fri, Nov 18 2016President-elect Donald J. Trump has been butting heads with Ford for a while now. A lot of it seems to stem from misunderstanding or misrepresenting facts about how the automaker currently does business and its plans for the future. After a sit-down with executive chairman Bill Ford Jr., the misunderstandings continue, but Trump has apparently convinced the company to make some changes. During his campaign, Trump claimed that Ford was going to fire US workers and move manufacturing to Mexico. That wasn't the case – yes, Ford planned to transfer Focus and C-Max production from Wayne, Michigan, to Cuautitlan, Mexico, but no, that wouldn't mean anyone losing their job. The Wayne plant will continue to operate, and likely busier than before, as it will be the home of the new Bronco and Ranger. So Ford CEO Mark Fields responded with the facts, and then chairman Bill Ford Jr. sat down with Trump over the summer. Things apparently weren't resolved to Trump's satisfaction, so he and Bill Ford spoke on the phone yesterday as he claims in this tweet: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Let's pick that apart. First off, it's not a Lincoln plant, per se – the Louisville Assembly Plant currently builds the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC, two small crossovers that share a platform. Ford was considering moving MKC production out of Kentucky to Mexico, but it would not have resulted in many lost jobs if any – the union had already agreed to moving the MKC in 2015 negotiations, and taking production of the slow-selling Lincoln out of the plant would open up capacity for more Fords. Be that as it may, Ford has decided not to move MKC production out of the plant, either for political reasons of placation or because it didn't make the greatest deal of business sense, maybe a combination of the two. That means Trump isn't really saving any American jobs in the short term. If anything, this move could keep Ford supply-constrained and result in reduced sales, which in turn brings the company less money and affects the bottom line and all employees. But that's speculation, so we won't tweet it. There is of course the possibility that Ford will be convinced, either by sheer will or by a more attractive trade situation, to invest in increased US production, which could bear fruit later on. We are told by Ford that the two men did in fact speak yesterday.
