Very rare truck. It has a 49 to 53 Mercury flathead V-8. This was the standard replacement for the original engines. It is a 1960 F 100 rear end. It has all new brakes including all the cylinders. The cooling system has been rebuilt. The only other upgrade is a 12 V system. All the fluids have been changed. There are a few chips in the paint. It is now registered in California. The three-quarter ton was built on a truck frame. Although this classified as a pickup: it is actually a flatbed. All of the lights work. It is eligible for an antique plate. These trucks were the workhorses of the postwar period very few survived in this condition. It has a four speed transmission. There are two ways to go with this truck. As the picture shows it has wooden floorboards that should be replaced and it would be a unique antique show vehicle. The second option is to upgrade it into a hot Rod. There are Automatic Transmissions that will fit without any cutting .Ask questions. 415-307-3790.

Detroit automakers gain market share simultaneously for first time in 20 years
Wed, 01 May 2013While monthly sales figures might be an easy way of tracking the progression of the auto industry and individual automakers, looking at market share might be more indicative of how each company is actually standing up against its competitors. For the Detroit Three automakers, they have collectively lost almost 30 percent of the market over the last 20 years, but now, for the first time since 1993, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have each posted market share gains at the same time.
According to Automotive News, Ford's share increased the most by 0.7 percent, GM was up 0.5 percent and Chrysler rose marginally by 0.2 percent, giving the Detroit automakers a total market share of 45.6 percent. As for the Japan's Big Three, the article reports that Toyota is up by 0.7 percent, Nissan is down the same amount and Honda has seen "little change."
Ford to hack $4k off price of Focus EV amid slow sales
Wed, 10 Jul 2013Between slow sales and a hefty price drop for its nearest rival, the Ford Focus Electric may be looking at a pretty substantial price cut. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will drop the price of the all-electric by about $4,000 to $35,200 to be more competitive with the Nissan Leaf, which received a big price cut for 2013 down to $28,800.
Ford has already admitted to having low expectations for the car's sales and massive rebates were reported earlier in the year, but there is still no official word from Ford on this matter. The company's consumer site still lists the 2014 model's starting price as $39,200. In addition to the Leaf, the Focus Electric will also have to deal with the lower prices of smaller EVs including the Honda Fit EV, Fiat 500e and the Chevrolet Spark EV.
