1953 Ford F100

This is a great running, driving, and looking old truck.  It makes a perfect daily driver or hot rod shop truck.  The motor is a strong running 289 V8 with a 4 speed manual transmission.  It runs out very good.  No unusual motor or tranny noises.  Still has the straight front axle set up and drum brakes.  It is wired with a  12 volt electrical system and uses an alternator instead of a generator.  The interior is in good overall shape.  It has new VDO gauges, am/fm/cassette stereo, and stock heater under the dash heater.  The truck is in good overall shape but the paint is old and faded, it shows several little scratches etc.  The original steel hood tilts forward and is a neat feature.  It has a rear sliding back window and bed cover.  Lots of new parts installed.  This is a really fun driving hot rod truck that turns every head it passes.  Photos will tell more than I can type, over 70 pictures are posted on this listing.

Ford is recalling more Takata airbag-equipped Ford and Lincoln models

Thu, Mar 2 2017

The Basics: Takata, the beleaguered airbag supplier at the root of the largest recall in automotive history, has informed Ford of a problem with the airbags in just over 30,000 Ford and Lincoln models. The problem is not related to the non-desiccated ammonium nitrate airbag inflators that plague the other airbags ( including many Fords), meaning there isn't a risk of shrapnel flying out from the units in this particular recall. The Problem: In the event of an accident, the front airbags may only partially inflate, and the airbag may become detached from the module because of misaligned parts. The problem affects 2016 and 2017 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX models built at the Oakville Assembly Plant. The issue also affects 2017 Lincoln Continentals that were built at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Injuries/Deaths: In a release, Ford stated that it is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or deaths related to the airbag issue. The Fix: Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag module at no cost. If You Own One: Sit tight and wait for Ford to notify owners. When that happens, take your car to the dealer for a replacement. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Ford dealer gives James Robertson new 2015 Taurus

Fri, Feb 6 2015

James Robertson, the 56-year-old Detroit native famous for walking 21 miles to work each day for the last 10 years, is behind the wheel again thanks to a gift from a Ford dealer. Robertson became an Internet sensation when the story about his daily ordeal came to light, and a GoFundMe campaign initially hoped to raise $5,000 to buy him a new ride. As of this writing, it has reached over $300,000. He didn't have to dip into any of that money to buy the new car, though. According to The Detroit Free Press, Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights, MI, heard about Robertson's story of never being late to work and having perfect attendance. The dealer is donating a fully loaded, red 2015 Taurus to him. It's not one of our choices, but certainly nothing to sneeze at. Robertson started walking to work in 2005 when his Honda broke down. According to the GoFundMe page, his job is about 23 miles away, but thanks to Detroit's poor bus network, he covers about 21 miles of that round-trip trek on foot each day.
