2006 White Ford Explorer Limited Suv Fwd 4wd Truck 4-door 4.6l **loaded** on 2040-cars
Ravenna, Ohio, United States
I have owned this truck since 2008. It's been a great truck and has been well maintained. Cosmetically, in good condition. There is a chip in the front windshield. Also, there is some minor paint peeling on the hood. This truck comes from a smoke-free environment and the interior is very clean. Mechanically, this truck is sound. It is ready to drive on day one!! The only issues are that the driver rear TPMS (tire pressure monitoring) sensor needs replaced....it causes a message on the dash that says "TIRE PRESSURE FAULT" ....also, the driver rear ABS speed gear needs replaced... I have included the speed gear with the sale of the truck...it just needs to be installed. The ABS sensor was recently replaced as well. The speed gear issue just causes the ABS/Traction Control light to come on in the dashboard. ABS works fine, it just needs to have this part put on for the light to turn out. We are also including a set of rear rotors and rear brake pads that just need to be installed (front rotors and front pads were just changed!) We have followed all of the scheduled maintenance on this truck. Here's some of the recent work:
1) Tune-up - newer plugs and wires 2) Replaced all 8 distributer caps 3) Replaced front struts 4) Newer battery 5) Transmission just flushed and checked (confirmed great tranny!) 6) Recently replaced hub bearings 7) Coolant recently flushed and changed 8) Changed differential fluid and filter 9) Flushed fuel lines/replaced fuel filter 10) New front rotors and pads (we have included a set of rear rotors and rear pads for you as well ... they just need installed)
This is a great truck that will have many years ahead of it! All sales final.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.
1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup
Fri, 18 Jul 2014Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
