Listed for sale is this 2004 Ford Explorer XLT with approximately 119K miles.  The vehicle is in good condition inside and out.  The interior shows minor wear and tear, and the leather seats and carpet are free of rips.  The exterior is also in good condition with only a few scuffs and scratches

The vehicle will needs mechanical work.  A newer transmission was recently installed, and worked perfectly for a few weeks.  However, now the Park gear doesn't work; so the vehicle rolls if not on an uneven surface.  Also, the reverse doesn't always work.  I took it to another mechanic who said the transmission seems to be fine, but it appears to be an issue with the linkage, which could happen if the transmission wasn't installed properly.

The vehicle was just recently serviced and tuned-up.  In addition, both catalytic convertors were replaced, but it will need O2 sensors will need to be replaced.  The airbag light is also on due to a sensor. Still, this is a very nice vehicle overall, and if you compare, you would see this vehicle retails for as high as $6000.  Again, it will need some work, but at this price, it's well worth it.  The reserve is set very low; so don't miss out on this deal.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.  Thanks and Good Luck!

NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.

Amelia Island 2013: 50 years of the Ferrari-slaying Ford GT40

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Originally developed with the sole purpose of being a Ferrari rival to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 became a prominent racing machine in the 1960s in both Europe and the US. Not wanting to leave such an important car out of the fun, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance also took time out from its other celebrations to recognize the 50-year anniversary of the GT40.
Over its short lifespan, the GT40 was offered in a handful of configurations, but the classic short-tailed (Mk I and Mk II) bodystyles were well represented... especially in Gulf livery. James Glickenhaus (of Ferrari P4/5 fame) had his bright yellow Mk IV in the field, and there were several others in this bodystyle, including one that has seen plenty of time on the track judging by its chipped-up nose.
As a fitting statement for the car's lengthy racing history, GT40 Chassis Number 1075 won this year's Concours de Sport award. This car took home the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969, and racked up a total of six wins in just 11 races.
