2000 Ford Explorer Xlt Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l**no Reserve** on 2040-cars
Saluda, Virginia, United States
This is a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT that is in good running and
driving condition with low miles for its age.
It is a trade in that we are offering for sale as-is. It has the 4.0L 6cylinder engine with an
automatic overdrive transmission and automatic 4 wheel drive. The transmission shifts perfect into all
gears. This SUV is fully loaded with features including key less entry, power
locks, power windows, auto dimming mirrors, outdoor temperature gauge, sunroof,
aftermarket Pioneer CD player, running boards, a Hidden Hitch tow hitch, and
alloy wheels. While it is in good running order, there are a few issues with
the SUV. It currently has a Virginia Inspection rejection sticker due to wear
on the rear tires. It also has an Airbag light on and may need a ball joint or tie rod end. Other than that there are a
few cosmetic issues including wear on the center console, a hole in the rear
seat on the driver side, several stains in the carpet, a small dent on the driver
side front fender, and the clear coat is starting to peal on the roof. All features on this truck work as they
should including the power sunroof. The
4wheel drive works perfectly in both high and low range. Winning bid does not include tax, tags, and title plus $150 processing fee.

The history and future of the Ford Bronco
Tue, 17 Jun 2014
Some have suggested that the Bronco's demise was hastened by the fallout from the O.J. trial.
Twenty years ago today, ex-NFL linebacker Al "A.C." Cowlings drove his friend and onetime running back Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson on a parade lap of the Los Angeles highway system and onto an ignoble page of the history books. If you're in your late 20s or older, or a fastidious young student of 1990s American history, you're absolutely aware that Al and O.J.'s steed for the 'chase' was a white Ford Bronco. The white Ford Bronco, even.
2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.
Ford Mustang GT350 drops some camo
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Now that we've poured over the 2015 Ford Mustang in its standard form, it's time to look ahead. We already knew (and heard - literally) that Ford was working on a higher-performance version of its 'Stang to replace the Shelby GT500, and earlier reports have stated that it will simply be called the GT350.
We don't have a ton of detail to go on, but this latest set of spy photos clearly shows a hood-mounted air scoop, which suggests a forced-induction powerplant is under the hood. However, this disagrees with earlier reports that the GT350 will be all motor, using a naturally aspirated engine to send massive horsepower to the rear wheels. Our spies also point out the functional vent aft of the front wheels to allow for better airflow, and the massive quad exhaust pipes can be seen, clear as day.
Expect to see the Mustang GT350 in April, when it debuts at the New York Auto Show in conjunction with the Pony's 50th anniversary. In the meantime, have a look at our gallery above to see the latest shots of the hot Mustang out testing.
