Up for sale is a beautiful 2008 Ford Explorer Limited Adrenalin Sport Trac with a low 53,700 miles on it. This is my second Sport Trac and I loved both of them. I loved my '07 so much I ran up 85K miles on it in 2 years and had to sell it. This baby was to be my retirement ride and I looked long and hard to find the right one. This one was in Florida and was owned by a "CAR GUY". I've found that "CAR GUYS" are nicer to their vehicles than most drivers and I've always looked for cars that have been owned by them (you can usually tell before you even meet the owner). This car was no exception, Royal Purple oil, garage kept, hand washed, waxed often, never driven on gravel roads and a number of nice accessories added.

I'm a 67 year old "CAR GUY" and I've kept up the same traditions as the first owner except I switched to MOBIL ONE oil. Because it was a Florida car and I leave for Florida in late September or early October each year, this car has never seen snow.
Nicely equipped when delivered from the factory with 20" wheels now with newer Goodyear  RS-A tires (one original Perelli Scorpion with good tread is included), venting rear window, lockable hard tonneau cover, lockable tailgate, 2" receiver, two sets of Adrenalin floor mats (one set never used) steering wheel controls, auto headlamps, SYNC and all of the other Limited and Adrenalin standard equipment. The original owner added a Kenwood AM/FM/SAT/CD/DVD/NAV W/TOUCH SCREEN AND BACK UP CAMERA which I believe is also VOICE ACTIVATED (but I've never tried to use the voice or many of the other features), headrest DVD players with remote and headphones (I never used them), true DUAL EXHAUST with Rousch stainless steel tips (a little on the loud side but great at cruising speed), Viper ALARM system with REMOTE START, K&M air filter with recharge kit, blacked out fog lights, he had the Ford ovals painted black w/a red Ford in liew if the oem silver on blue. I'm sure I missing some items but you get the idea that the car is well equipped.
I'm sorry to have to sell this baby as I still think it's one of the best looking, driving and most comfortable "trucks" out there. My wife and I have seven vehicles between the two of us and that's just not going to continue.
Come on out and drive it...it will sell itself. Most of the cars I sell go to the first person to see them. I'm not a dealer, just a "CAR GUY".
Low ballers can scammers can take the day off, if I wanted to give it away I'd give it to a relative or at least someone i knew, not a total sranger. I'm not releasing the car/title until the money is in my account and confirmed. Zero and negative feedback bidders can also take the day off. All shipping charges are by the buyer (I will assist/coordinate with your shipper). Clear title in hand with no leans.

Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy

Tue, 07 May 2013

With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.

Ford profiles surprisingly affluent Focus ST buyers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

It comes as no surprise when Ford says that 32-percent of Focus ST buyers are under 35, but we weren't expecting this: the average annual salary of Focus ST buyers is $127,000. Twenty-two percent of non-ST Focus buyers are under 35, while their average annual salary is $67,000.
We like the Focus ST because it has 252 horsepower, is genuinely fun to drive and offers great value for performance-minded car enthusiasts; facts that are not lost on customers, it seems. Ford says that the Focus ST has the highest percentage of conquest sales for a non-hybrid model it sells, and that the top-four trade-ins are from Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and Toyota. Demand for the hot Focus is strongest in Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston and Orlando.
"[The Focus ST is] having this kind of halo effect for other vehicles we'd hoped for when we invested in the ST brand," says John Felice, vice president of US marketing, sales and service, because it's helping to boost sales of other Ford vehicles.

How Ford secretly used customers to test its aluminum F-150 [w/video]

Fri, 30 May 2014

Automakers getting clever about disguising development vehicles isn't anything new. Between mules wearing the sheetmetal of other cars and prototypes decked out in as much camouflage as is practical, automakers know how to make it very difficult for the general public to get an exact idea of what kind of vehicle is in development. Ford, though, is rapidly becoming the master.
We knew that the Blue Oval originally tested the durability of the aluminum construction being used for the 2015 F-150 by building an all-aluminum 2014 truck and entering it in the Baja 1000 off-road race. That's no longer a secret. What we didn't know, though, is that the aluminum development dates back to before even that, and that some of the people in question had no idea what it was they were working with.
Ford says this is the first time prototypes have ever been handed over to the public.
