For sale is a used 4x4 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. It has a little over 220,000 miles and will have a little more as I still drive it from time to time. The truck is being sold AS-IS with no implied warranty.

This is a good truck with much more life in it. I really hate to see this truck go but I no longer have the space for it now that we have 2 trucks so this one has to go. It is a great truck to drive in all weather. The truck is 4wd and has many extras. There is a viper remote starter/alarm. I have the manual and 2 remotes one LCD and one 4-button remote. I broke the LCD remote but purchased a brand new one but it has not been programmed. Included is the Factory shop manuals, OEM Tonneau cover, bed extender, extra tire, never installed rear lights chrome covers (still in box).

The only issue that I can address is the running boards or should I say side steps. They need to be removed or replaced as they have rusted away. I just never got around to doing it. I do have the clean/clear title in hand. One other thing is the key open the doors however I have not used the key in the driver side door in about 6 years and is it is very stiff. I have always used the remote.

The car fax is clean and it shows I am the 3rd owner however the first 2 owners were relatives and used the vehicle mostly for skiing trips.

Few features:
4x4
Bed Tonneau cover
Bed extender
Spare tire
Extra tire (no wheel)
Remote Starter with Alarm (2 remotes)
Sunroof
Automatic Rear sliding window
Tinted windows
Window Visors
AM/FM radio with cassette & CD player (OEM)

This truck is being sold as-is with no warranties. It is used and not in perfect conditions but good condition for years and miles.  Please ask all questions prior to bidding.

Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial

    Wed, 28 May 2014

How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.
Take a look below for the video from Castrol.

Expert: 54.5 mpg CAFE standard can be reached without many plug-ins

    Sat, Jan 18 2014

Johnson Controls executive Brian Kesseler isn't likely to get any holiday presents this year from Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn or Tesla Motors head Elon Musk, but lots of other folks might be happy with what he has to say about automakers' efforts to reach stricter fleetwide fuel-economy standards. Speaking at the Automotive News World Congress, Kesseler said automakers wouldn't need to sell an extensive number of plug-in vehicles in order to meet the 54.5 mile per gallon Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standard the US government set in 2012 for 2025 model-year vehicles. In fact, he said, components such as stop-start engine technology, turbochargers and direct injection may actually do the trick. Already, things like smaller engine sizes and lighter cars are already playing major roles in spurring fuel-efficiency gains. Of course, Johnson Controls sells batteries specially built for stop-start systems, so Kesseler does have a bit of skin in this game. The 54.5-mpg CAFE standard equates to about a 40-mpg "real world" fuel-efficiency level. To put that into perspective, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said in a report late last year that model-year 2013 average fuel economy was an even 24 mpg. That was up from 23.6 mpg for the 2012 model year and 22.4 mpg for 2011. Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president

    Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
