This was going to be a project car but I do not have the time or money to repair. Vehicle runs and all engine components are in good working condition. Vehicle was hit in the rear and back frame was lifted. Attached are pictures of the rear frame damage. Rear panels are bent up. Back passenger side tire is bent in but in good shape. Front bumper and grill cracked but repairable. The car starts and drives. I drove it from Miami Florida to Stuart Fl. (approx. 90 miles) but I would not trust is on the highway for a long period of time. I have salvage title in hand. Instrument gauges work fine, radio dvd and stereo work fine. If you know how to do frame repair and body work than this is a great vehicle. Interior is clean and in good shape. There is a small tear in the leather, but very repairable. Tires and RIMS are in great shape!!! DVD Console works fine. All signals and gauges are working fine. The airbags are fine and did not deploy. There are no ENGINE WARNING GUAGES lit up. Feel free to email me questions. Most states will allow for a re titling if the work is inspected and passed. I can ship this vehicle overseas VIA Port of Miami or the Port of West Palm Beach. There will be an additional $200 for me to get the vehicle to the port for shipping. BUYER MUST PAY ALL SHIPPING CHARGES, TAXES or ANY OTHER PORT FEES ASSOCIATED WITH OVERSEAS SHIPPING. It may take a few days longer to get the vehicle ready for overseas shipping. I live in Ohio but will make the trip down to assist in the transportation of the vehicle (or my family member will). |

Ford brings FPV Falcon production in house [w/video]
Thu, 21 Feb 2013For the first time since 1976, Ford of Australia is bringing the assembly of its stonking Ford Performance Vehicle line back in-house to the company's Broadmeadows and Geelong facilities. That's a point of pride for FPV, which builds high-performance versions of the Australian Falcon model like the F6, GS and the heroic GT seen here.
In the video below, we hear FPV employees talking in hushed tones about the important legacy that cars like the GT have for Australian gearheads of all stripes, and how proud they are to say that hand-built machines like this GT R-Spec with its Boss 355 engine are now rolling out of their home base. For our part, we're just dying to drive this version of the Coyote V8; the engine is rocking a "Miami" supercharger from Harrop and makes some 450 horsepower.

Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California
Fri, 01 Mar 2013A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.
Hurricane Sandy cost automakers 15,000 vehicles, may have ruined up to 200k
Wed, 07 Nov 2012Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic storm in US history, and its total economic impact is just now coming into view. According to Automotive News, Toyota, Chrysler, Nissan and Honda are set to scrap around 15,000 new vehicles ruined by the storm. Nissan alone accounts for about 40 percent of those, with 6,000 Nissan and Infiniti models deeded "un-saleable" due to damage. The company saw 56 dealerships shuttered due to the storm, but 51 of those have since reopened.
Toyota, meanwhile, had some 4,000 vehicles at its Newark port facility, and of those, 3,000 may be scrapped. An additional 825 were dealer inventory when they were ruined. Honda and Acura dealers are reportedly sending 3,440 vehicles to the salvage yard. By comparison, Chrysler weathered the storm fairly well with 825 units destroyed, while Hyundai suffered only 400 lost units and Kia scrapped around 200.
As you may recall, Fisker also suffered some losses, and Automotive News reports the manufacturer saw 320 Karma models damaged beyond repair. Ford and General Motors have yet to come up with estimates, and no automaker has commented on the full cost of replacing the vehicles.
