AWD

Starts Drives and Stops as it should with no problems

AWD works as it should (i got to test it in snow)

I got the car in August and had a mechanic check it over for any faults so i had the following done

It had 4 new tyres and wheels mounted and balanced

New lower ball joint

New EGR valve

Obd drive cycle (whatever that is)

Emmisions test passed so that's good until August 2014

Engine serviced
all the above with paperwork to show

I also put new bright headlight bulbs and new wipers on

and put new heater/blower resistor and new heater matrix

It has a DVD screen but needs player putting in under seat

All electrics work as they should

Really nice comfortable drive I drove it from NYC to Lake Placid and back with no issues or problems

Selling as moving to Manhattan and not practical to have a car there

Bad bits

There is a problem with drivers door lock it wont open from inside or lock (i got a quote to replace the entire lock mechanism for $300 but i just used to wind window down and open it from outside and i eventually got used to it) pictured
All other locks/doors work fine

slight rust on rear arches (pictured)

there is a handle from inside rear door missing

the knob for the electric mirrors is missing (they still work)

There is one hub cap missing (i'm sure these bits can be replaced for a few dollars from a junk yard if needed)

That is all the major faults but the car is 12 years old so there may be the odd slight blemish in interior or exterior but nothing major

Ideal first car or for someone who wants to fix car or just a cheap runaround

Car is located in Jersey City and viewing is welcome

Car must be collected before June 2nd as moving house then.

Extremely low start price and no reserve as must sell

$50 deposit at auction end then rest cash on collection

I took the pictures while it was raining so any other pictures or questions feel free to email me and i will get back to you

I'll get the car cleaned and valeted for the winning bidder

Check out my 100% feedback and bid with confidence.

Thanks and good luck

Ford is building this sweet back-to-basics SUV in Brazil

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

We're use to forbidden fruit teasing us in Europe. Hatchbacks and diesels from Renault, Citroën, Peugeot, Skoda, SEAT and Alfa Romeo have been a regular torment that we've grown accustomed to over the years. This vehicle, though, is one piece of forbidden fruit we aren't entirely sure we can get over. We need it.
It's called the Ford Troller T4, and if you accidentally read that as either "reborn Ford Bronco" or "Americanized Land Rover Defender," we wouldn't be rushing to correct you. It's a basic, badass SUV, and is the first new vehicle to come from Troller since Ford gobbled it up in 2007. For those with longer memories, you'll recognize this vehicle from the concept that preceded it, the Ford T-R Concept. The production model remains remarkably true to the T-R, as well as past Trollers, but it's a slightly more modern look overall, with LED taillights, contrasting colors
You'll have to bear with us on the details, as we've been forced to rely on the notoriously literal Google Translate to convert the original Portuguese into English, which means some of the details were lost along the way.

Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

A few weeks ago we brought you news of a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet that Ford was donating to charity. The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.

Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.
