This is a nice ford expedition xlt with leather interior and all the bells and whistles.. even has the adjustable pedals..and lighted running boards... this truck was in a minor accident a couple years ago and while there was only mild body damage, the insurance company totaled it because of its age and mileage.. all repairs have been made.. this sub recently was overhauled at the local ford dealer and runs like a top.. it has both front and rear air and both work great.. now for the bad.. the passenger front window is temperamental and works when it wants to.. all other windows work fine.. US Air Force Thunderbirds Mustang fetches $400K at auction

For the last six years, Ford has created a special version of the Mustang with a military aviation theme, and then donated the car to the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) to be auctioned off at the annual AirVenture event, also known as The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration. The money raised goes to the EAA Young Eagles program to inspire the "aviation pioneers of tomorrow," and this year's 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition was won with a final bid of $398,000.
Celebrating 60 years of the USAF's Thunderbirds, this Mustang GT is the only one of its kind with a paint job matching the Thunderbirds' F-16 Falcon jets and some Ford Racing performance added on for good measure. Including this car, Ford has helped raise around $2.3 million for the charity with the biggest auction price coming from the first year of the program, the F-22 Raptor-inspired Mustang AV8R from 2008, which sold for $500,000.

NHTSA opens investigation into Ford Explorer PI brakes

This year more than most, it's pleasant when we can string together a few days without word of an automaker or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announcing a bunch of new recalls. It's seemingly been a little quiet on this front lately (barring a spider-related Suzuki issue revealed early today), but now we have word of the government safety agency opening a Preliminary Evaluation into the 2013 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor, a probe that could potentially affect an estimated 20,000 vehicles.
The issue being investigated concerns failures of the front brake hose on the vehicle that show "small splits in the hoses near the body side ferrule of the hose assembly," according to the agency, and the issue could result in longer stopping distances. The feds have reports of 13 malfunctions affecting 11 Explorer units. However, it's important to note that all of the incidents come from a single, unnamed metropolitan police fleet that operates 46 of them. According to The Detroit News, the failures generally took place between December and July.
NHTSA is investigating further to find if this is a more widespread issue than just this one fleet. Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker confirmed to us, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the agency's report.
