Up for sale at NO RESERVE is a 1999 ford expedition 4x4 v8 gas 136,500 miles with no check engine lights / service reminders

Truck is currently registered and inspected and has been used for electrical work since I purchased. We purchased from the original owner which was a municipality so it was always fleet maintained. Over $2000 has been spent in the last year fixing anything that arose including ....replacing ebrake cable....fixing abs light...new battery....new alternator....replacing transfer case....new spark plugs. has newer goodyear wrangler RTS tires and keyless entry....truck always starts and runs/drives good and has never let us down. good 4x4 truck for those winter days

Overall the truck is in pretty good condition. Has the typical rust a 15yr old new england truck would but nothing too bad....see pics. we are selling to upgrade to a bigger truck. the interior is in very good shape....one seat was removed by previous owner so the truck is a 5 seater not a 6. all power options work fine. the paint is in overall good shape without any dents....some areas of rust over a couple wheel wells and rocker panels but nothing too bad....mechanically it runs great with the only issue being a small exhaust leak not sure if its the gasket or manifold.

we are still using the truck daily but replacement arriving any day now....no reserve auction so ask all questions before bidding. the truck is being sold in "as-is" condition with no warranties expressed or implied. feel free to have a mechanic look over the truck at our location at your expense. Massachusetts does not offer temporary plates therefore have shipping/transportation figured out before bidding as we are not transporters and cannot assist with shipping/delivery....we are the owner of the truck not a dealer and will not accept trades....truck must be paid in full and removed from our location within 7 days of auction end

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost already hitting 12-second quarters

Sun, 28 Sep 2014

The arrival of a new Ford Mustang means many things to many people, but not least of them is drag racers. The pony car has always been a mainstay of the drag strip, and the Ford Racing team aims to carry that reputation forward with this latest generation. So it cooked up a few basic modifications on three new 'Stangs and headed to the strips at US 131 and Milan Dragway to see what they could coax out of 'em.
Impressively, the 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT with a few modifications (but no forced induction) managed to clock a quarter-mile time of 11.77 seconds. Another Mustang GT fitted with a supercharger clocked a blistering 10.97 seconds. But just as intriguing was the modified EcoBoost model that, with only four cylinders and 2.3 liters of displacement, still passed the gates in just 12.56 seconds - nearly half a second better than expected. This with modification limited to a new subframe, half-shaft, drive shaft loops, exhaust, engine calibration, slicks, roll cage and bucket seat. Well done, boys.

How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.

Lincoln Aviator could make a comeback

Tue, Jun 9 2015

The idea of Lincoln dropping its alphanumeric scheme in favor of real names was welcomed by fans of the marque and even appeared possible after the rousing reception to the Continental concept. Now, rumors suggest that the next of the luxury brand's nameplates to see a possible revival just might be the Aviator. Don't get your hopes up quite yet, though. The Truth About Cars admits that this tip comes from a second-hand source, but the person reports that Lincoln has a project codenamed Aviator as a model based on the Explorer. There's evidence to give the rumor some shaky support, though. Ford already has the trademarks for the name and AV8R. Also, an Explorer-based vehicle in 2019 is included for the brand's predictions in the recent Car Wars forecast. Autoblog reached out to company spokesperson Sam Locricchio, but he would not speculate about future products. The same source claims to The Truth About Cars that the Blue Oval might not replace the Ford Flex or Lincoln MKT when the current generations come to an end. Also, the next-gen Expedition and Navigator could use 10-speed automatics and follow the F-150 to get aluminum bodies, which is also already rumored. Although, all of this should be taken with a big grain of salt until anything more official has arrived. Lincoln spokesperson Stephane Cesareo gave The Truth About Cars no comment on the rumor, but said, "By 2020, we expect to expand the segments that we participate in by adding two new nameplates to the Lincoln brand. We have not provided any indications about the products or their names." Related Video:
