YOU ARE BIDDING ON A VERY CLEAN, WELL KEPT, ADULT OWNED EXPEDITION. IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR ONE OF THESE, THEN YOU ALREADY KNOW BY THE OTHERS LISTED THAT IT'S NOT UNCOMMON TO GET CLOSE TO 300K OUT OF THE 5.4 ENGINE. THIS FORD WAS GARGAGE KEPT AND IT SHOWS. THE PAINT IS BEAUTIFUL W/ SOME MINOR DINGS AND SCUFFS, THE INTERIOR IS SPOTLESS. IT HAS NEVER EVEN HAD SHOES ON THE ORIGINAL OEM FLOOR MATS SINCE THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN COVERED. NEW BRAKES ALL THE WAY AROUND, NEWER BFG TIRES W/ PLENTY OF TREAD, FRESH OIL AND FILTER CHANGE W/ SYNTHETIC BLEND ALSO. THE 3RD SEAT WAS REMOVED AND SOLD SINCE WE HAD NO USE FOR IT W/ OUR KIDS BEING OLDER AND PREFER TO HAVE THE CARGO SPACE W/OUT THE SEAT IN THE WAY. THEY ARE VERY EASY TO FIND AND FAIRLY INEXPENSIVE IF YOU NEED THE EXTRA SEATING. THE REAR CARGO AREA HAS CARDBOARD W/ CARPET DOOR MATS OVER IT AND THE ORIGINAL CARPET HAS NEVER HAD ANYTHING ON IT AND IT LOOKS LIKE NEW. HEAT AND A/C BOTH WORK AS THEY SHOULD, AS DOES EVERYTHING ELSE. INCLUDED ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL, WINDOW STICKER AND 3 KEYS W/ 2 REMOTES. PLEASE REMEMBER IT IS 15 YEARS OLD, SO BE REALISTIC W/ YOUR EXPECTATIONS AS IT IS A USED VEHICLE. IF YOU NEED TO SHIP, YOU CAN LOG ONTO WWW.AUTOMOBILESHIPPINGQUOTES.COM FOR SOME REALLY GOOD RATES AND I CAN ALSO FORWARD THE NUMBER OF A TRANSPORTER I USE ALL THE TIME THAT IS EXCELLENT. THE VEHICLE IS FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION SHOULD IT SELL AND I AM OPEN TO OFFERS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WAIT. We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA
Tue, 04 Nov 2014As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.
Detroit 3 and UAW could create healthcare pool
Thu, Sep 3 2015Healthcare costs continue to multiply in the US with no clear end in sight, but the United Auto Workers and the Big Three are negotiating a way to rapid growth under control. As part of the latest contract talks, the union has an idea to create a healthcare pool across all of its members at Ford, General Motors, and FCA US. If accepted, the company-wide integration would spread out the expenses and create a massive member base for bargaining with insurance companies. Both Ford and GM are at least considering the proposal, according to The Detroit News, and FCA US might be on board, as well. The idea is the work of current UAW president Dennis Williams and is based on the similar pool for the Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association for retirees. "I've walked through this several ways; I just don't have any other answer," Williams said to The Detroit News. "I do believe this will work. It's worked with the VEBA." Williams was elected UAW president last year and won by an overwhelming margin. He vowed no more concessions to automakers. In addition to healthcare, the two-tier wage system is another major talking point in the contract negotiation because it gives fewer benefits to entry-level workers. Higher wages are also a request. Healthcare costs are a massive expense for automakers and are expected to reach over $2 billion this year, according to The Detroit News. The payments are up nearly 50 percent or more in just the last four years.
Ford trademarking 'Mach 1,' possibly for Mustang
Thu, 24 Oct 2013A legendary name might be accompanying the redesigned, 2015 Mustang when it finally makes its world debut - Mach 1. Stumbled upon by the team at Ford Authority, the Mach 1 title was found in a trademark filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office, and would revive a name last used on the fourth-generation, 2003 Mustang.
While the the 2003 vintage was well and good, the Mach 1 is really remembered for a three-year run from 1969 to 1971 - it's best to just forget the emissions-choked 1972 to 1978 Mach 1s - when power output ranged from a modest 250 horsepower with the two-barrel, 351-cubic-inch Windsor V8 to "375 hp" (actual output was rumored to be well north of 400 horsepower) with the righteous, 429-cubic-inch Super Cobra Jet V8.
What does the title hold for the sixth-generation Mustang? It's tough to say. The fanatics at Ford Authority seem to think Mach 1 could take the place of the Shelby GT500 at the top of the Mustang hierarchy, which sounds like a valid argument. At the same time, we could see the SVT Cobra moniker returning for the flagship model, and the Mach 1 doing battle with the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 (unless the Boss 302 were to return). Confounding things is the historical precedent - the Mach 1 was responsible for the death of the Mustang GT in 1969, so it might make sense as a volume performance model.
