1997 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer

1997 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer, 4-door, green in color, which is the result of a subsequent forfeiture.

This vehicle is a 1997 Ford Expedition with the odometer showing 222,140 miles, however, we have no way of knowing its accuracy. This Intrepid has a   5.4L engine with an automatic transmission and four wheel drive. This vehicle has tan leather interior with some pretty good wearing especially the drivers seat.  There is air conditioning, power locks, power windows, cruise control, rear heat and air and a non factory stereo system. This vehicle has rust on the rear rocker panel scuffs and scratches throughout the vehcile.  The rear door latch is difficult to turn, so much it was not opened for fear of breaking it. The interior of the vehcile is pretty dirty and needs good cleaning.  The tires are in average condition. This vehicle was started and driven on 11-01-13, and only started after having good battery installed. The battery in the motor picture does not come with vehicle, the battery that comes with vehicle is on the back floot. The past maintenance and repair history of this vehicle is unknown and it is being sold as is.

This vehicle was seized in an investigation which resulted in the subsequent forfeiture from a Controlled Substance crime in of 2012. When the vehicle was confiscated, it was being driven on the public streets and mechanically running. The title is registered to the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force, is clear and ready for new owner transfer.

Bill Ford augments his power by nearly doubling stake of supervoting shares

Fri, 28 Jun 2013

Bill Ford Jr. has more sway than ever over the automaker that bears his surname, as the great-grandson of Ford's founder has reportedly doubled is holdings of Class B Ford stock. According to a report from Reuters (which cites a newly discovered securities filing), he acquired some 3.7 million Class B shares from an unnamed family member.
Class B shares of Ford stock are held by descendants of Henry Ford and offer expanded voting power to their holders - Bill Ford Jr. now controls roughly 11.5 percent of the total Class B pool. Ford Jr. is also a one of five trustees that manage a voting trust that oversees the majority of these "supervoting" shares. In total, Reuters reports there are 71 million Class B shares that account for 40 percent of the voting power in the company, despite making up just 2 percent of the total volume of all Ford stock.
Ford Jr. served as Ford's CEO until 2006, when he stepped down to hire and make space for current CEO, Alan Mulally. The move to consolidate Ford family voting power, at least somewhat, is seen by many as a comforting sign with Mulally's departure from the company likely to happen in the next several years.

How Ford made its 2015 Ford Mustang safer for toupee wearers [w/video]

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

Ford is ready to tell the story of its 2015 Mustang Convertible, the can't-miss bits being the easier, quicker and quieter roof operation, a more robust roof build for a coupe-like cabin noise, more trunk space, better visibility and reduced in-cabin buffeting. The top release system has been completely redesigned with a single, center-mounted latch on the windshield frame instead of the dual latches of before. The driver can now release the roof without having to lean over into the passenger space, after which the top goes down fully automatically with the press of a button. Ford doesn't say how long it takes to stow, but it's apparently done in half as much time as before, so figure around 8 seconds.
The roof uses a five-bow structure, with the fabric outer and full inner headliner sandwiching ten millimeters of insulation. Detailing work on the top has eliminated "unsightly folds" in the corners when the roof is up and made it more compact when down; its Z-fold assembly is 6.7 inches lower than before at its highest point when put down. Ford says the new electric drive internals make less noise when in operation, and the fully-finished droptop look is achieved with snap-in caps that flank the rear seating and stow in the trunk when not in use (the outgoing Mustang's top was higher and the front when folded and always looked like it was catching air and creating drag).
The compact roof and newly independent rear suspension setup in back means liberated trunk space, 11.4 cubic feet ready to swallow golf bags and tourist swag. You can read a lot more about it in the press release below, check it out in the short video of running footage and learn about the aerodynamic improvements made to the entire Mustang lineup that decrease drag and increase fuel economy.
