I have a 2000 Ford Excursion, it has the 7.3 diesel and being a 2000 it has the forged bottom end so it is the best 7.3l that ford released. It is a Lariat limited edition fully loaded with heated leather and power seats. Has every option but sunroof. It has 170,000 miles but that will go up as its driven daily. It also has a new transmission with bigger torque converter with less than 6k miles and a transferable warranty. It gets around 20mpg. It has an 8" rough country lift. There is around 5k invested in the auto/video system. It has a  pioneer Double din in dash/tv with head rest tvs in both the font seats, All speakers in the truck are JL's and are run off of an amp and there are also 2 10' Memphis subs in a custom ostrich leather rapped both with amp. It has a built in power inverter. It has new HID's installed late winter. It has a python alarm with remote start (never used not that lazy lol). It has over sized 36" tires with 18" rims. I have an electronic digital break controller installed. It has 2 newer interstate battery's and a new alternator. I also just had to install a new fuel bowl valve an O-rings. The bottom half of the truck is rhino lined to prevent rock chips from the over sized tires. There is ZERO rust. It has a custom exhaust and a cold air intake also.THE BAD.. The front driver seat has the normal ware for a lifted ford. Has one scratch on the rear passenger door.. might be a few other minor things but I cant think of anything else off hand. The oil has been changed and I will be checking the front and rear diff and most likely changing it just because I will be under there. It has an edge 3 place chip  If I trade it will be for a lifted crew cab diesel with cash to me. Let's hear some offers. Thanks

PS... I will not take less than $19,000.00 unless you have a crew cab diesel truck to add to the deal... I dont want junk...

Ford begins testing right-hand-drive Mustang

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

Ford has officially kicked off testing of the right-hand-drive variant of its sixth-generation, 2015 Mustang, according to a statement issued by the company, which came with the above photo.
According to Ford, this will mark the first time a right-hand-drive 'Stang has traveled down the company's assembly line alongside its LHD brethren. It is far from the first of the legendary pony cars to feature its wheel on the wrong side, though, as converters in RHD markets across the globe have been making swaps for years.
Ford is planning on using the white, droptop Mustang for RHD development ahead of the car's arrival in the UK, Australia and South Africa, among other markets. Scroll down for the official press blast.

Ford using robot drivers to test durability [w/video]

Sun, 16 Jun 2013

In testing the durability of its upcoming fullsize Transit vans, Ford has begun using autonomous robotic technology to pilot vehicles through the punishing courses of its Michigan Proving Grounds test facility. The autonomous tech allows Ford to run more durability tests in a single day than it could with human drivers, as well as create even more challenging tests that wouldn't be safe to run with a human behind the wheel.
The technology being used was developed by Utah-based Autonomous Solutions, and isn't quite like the totally autonomous vehicles being developed by companies like Google and Audi for use out in the real world. Rather, Ford's autonomous test vehicles follow a pre-programmed course and their position is tracked via GPS and cameras that are being monitored from a central control room. Though the route is predetermined, the robotic control module operates the steering, acceleration and braking to keep the vehicle on course as it drives over broken concrete, cobblestones, metal grates, rough gravel, mud pits and oversize speed bumps.
Scroll down to watch the robotic drivers in action, though be warned that you're headed for disappointment if you expect to see a Centurion behind the wheel (nerd alert!). The setup looks more like a Mythbusters experiment than a scene from Battlestar Galactica.

Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.
