One owner, immaculate diesel Excursion. nearly perfect paint and interior, completely stock with Ford updated oil cooler and EGR cooler. New sway bar end links and steering stabilizer. It runs and drives perfectly with very good power. Brakes are 60%. This truck looks and drives very close to new (it has one small spot on the front bumper that needs to be touched up and two very small door dings on the drivers door)
Never any accidents, paint or body work. clean carfax. 95% tread on Yokohama Geolander tires. All options except DVD player. Color is Mineral Grey. Absolutely everything works as it should. All freeway miles. towed a small boat only. No smoke, food, or pets. ever. Leather is still soft and in excellent condition. Carpet is perfect under the floor mats. third row seating and mat for cargo area (not shown) I purchased this truck from the original owner on 06/28/2014 for my father. Plans have changed and we've decided to sell. The title is clear and signed off but I have not transferred into my name yet. 2016 Ford Explorer embarks at the LA Auto Show
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Twenty-five years since its debut in 1990, Ford will celebrate a quarter century of Explorer models next year with the debut of a refreshed 2016 model at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19. The Blue Oval is keeping mum on hard details about the updated SUV for now, but the brand promises, "a new look, added capability and additional driver-assist technology," in its announcement.
Company marketing boss Jim Farley elaborated a little more on what to expect. "The new Explorer is still the SUV America fell in love with - a vehicle built for the perfect family adventure," he said in the release that you're welcome to read down below.
An updated Explorer is a pretty big deal for Ford's bottom line. Worldwide, SUVs and crossovers account for about 23 percent of Ford's sales, and the segment is projected to grow to around 29 percent by 2020. Ford further says that SUVs and CUVs are the world's quickest growing segment with demand up 88 percent since 2008.
Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks
Sun, 31 Mar 2013Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.
