This is the Ultimate Custom Bug Out Vehicle. No expense has been spared. Every interior and exterior function has
been replaced and is in like new operating condition. Over $55,500 spent on creating this one of a kind machine.
Job relocation forces sale.
I have more photos I can send of the truck if you request them by email. Photos of the truck with the roof rack
installed and the 22” rims. Currently the roof rack is off and the winter tires (less that 2k miles on them)
with 17” rims are on the truck.
Actual mileage on frame is 267,500 miles.
New motor and transmission with less that 40,000 miles.
This truck has a 675 mile range on its oversized diesel fuel tank.
The Four Wheel Drive (4x4) system works flawlessly and the auto locking hubs and transfer system have all been
serviced and work like new in High and Low modes.
This is not the average Excursion you see go up for sale, this has been built to be the ultimate tow rig. Yes the
odometer says 260,000 miles, but that mileage is on the body, frame and interior only, everything else is under a
year old! It would be easier to list all the original parts on the truck rather than list all the new stuff!
This is a cab off rebuild, from the gas tank to the radiator! Now this is NOT a eat your dinner off the frame show
truck, this was built to be driven and tow a trailer. So yes it’s clean, but shows the normal wear of a daily
driver. The truck pulls hard and runs like a beast, the build was back to stock specs but with all the parts to
bullet proof the engine, like ARP head bolts, fuel return system, coolant filter, external oil cooler, etc., so it
would be a reliable daily tow vehicle, with all the stuff that makes the 6.0 work like it should! There is a video
link included, watch it to see all the cool stuff done to the suspension and exterior!

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.

Ford of India in hot water for Figo celebrity bondage ads

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

Apparently sensibilities in India, at least in the case of some Ford marketing partners, are downright lascivious at times. Case in point are a new series of print ads, presumably touting the vast cargo capacity of the Ford Figo hatchback, that involve more than a whiff of T&A, S&M and other sexy abbreviations.
In all seriousness, the advertising campaign is taking some major heat in the Indian press for being outrageously sexist. All three images - which seem to be produced by a graphic artist with some Heavy Metal work in his/her portfolio - show bound and gagged people stuffed into the Figo's boot. With a tagline reads, "Leave Your Worries Behind." one version features a peace-sign throwing Silvio Berlusconi holding hostage three buxom and barely clad women, all wearing ball gags with hands and feet bound. Charming. Another version shows Paris Hilton similarly kidnapping a trio of Kardashians, while a third (tame in terms of the clothing at least), has Michael Schumacher toting Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton.
Clearly in bad taste, at least, the Indian source also questions the timing of these risqué Ford ads, as the follow by days new anti-rape legislation passed by the Indian Parliament. Ford has responded in a statement, that it and its advertising partner (JWT India) "deeply regret" the ads, and claim that they "never should have happened."

Ford reflects on radical Mustang concept that never reached showrooms

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

The Ford Mustang that we all know and love made major waves in the auto industry way back in 1964 by offering style and reasonable pricing with optional V8 power. Its long hood and short rear deck, combined with a low-slung and sporty cockpit, made a lasting impression in the minds of consumers and car designers alike, and its basic shape has so endured the test of time that it's still in use today.
This being the case, you may be interested to know that the first Mustang of 1964.5 wasn't actually the first Mustang at all, being preceded by a concept car that made its public debut in 1962. This concept was nothing like the car that would eventually make it into production, with a radical wedge shape and a small V4 engine sitting behind the car's two occupants, driving the rear wheels. In other words, the conceptual Mustang was pretty much the complete opposite of the production Mustang besides the name.
Ford has kindly decided go through its massive archive to bring the original Mustang concept back into the public eye. The company goes so far as to pose this question to fans of the pony car: "Should we borrow a few of these style elements for the next iteration of the Mustang?" Check out our image gallery above and then let 'em know what you think in the Comments below.
