Hi, up for auction is a 2003 ford excursion 4x4 with a v10 6.8 gas engine. I bought this truck 5 years ago from a ford dealer in Clinton. Tennessee. It has been in Tennessee from new till I bought it. I have never driven it in the winter, thus the truck is VERY SOLID NO RUST {look at pics under truck}. This truck is a very nice inside and out, not perfect but very nice. The tires are at 50% and the spare is new. There is a owners manual and 2 keys with remotes. The windows are all tinted. Everything works great like: a/c, cruise, radio, 6 disc cd player, power windows/locks etc. There is a third seat. The engine runs very good and the transmission shifts very smoothly. I have a baby on the way and do not need the truck anymore. Last June I took it to Alabama to get a car and it worked perfectly. This truck is very reliable. This excursion has never been smoked in or had pets in it. There is a class v hitch with wiring for lights. All glass is good. Any questions please ask. Thanks for looking, Matt B |

2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo
Tue, 14 Oct 2014The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.

NHTSA investigating 725k Ford, Mercury vehicles for stalling issue
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Owners of Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models, listen up. According to a report on Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into these four vehicles totaling an estimated 725,000 units. The investigation appears to center around a malfunctioning throttle body on non-hybrid models of the 2005-2012 Escape and 2011-2012 Fusion. With Mercury dying off after the 2011 model year, this probe will also apply to the 2005 through 2011 Mariner and the 2011 Milan. There has been some discussion around the Escape stalling issue for some time now, but this investigation appears to be larger in scope than before.
Though not a recall yet, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 123 complaints of stalling or surging vehicles, while Ford itself has logged 1,472 complaints. The investigation report, which is posted below, seems to indicate that a faulty circuit board for the throttle body could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode, which, according to NHTSA, could cause complaints of both stalling and surging.
