2001 Ford Excursion turbo diesel 4x4 - clean title - non smoker car
Rare excursion model - seats 9, three rows of cloth seats and has the turbo diesel motor and 4x4. Never seen another one like it. I searched for months for this vehicle and finally found it on Ebay. I purchased this Excursion from Ebay in 2006 with 117,000 miles, flew out to Texas and drove it back to California. Has never given me any problems and has received routine maintenance that I did myself. I don't trust other shops, I wanted to see the exact oil going into my engine. 7.3 powerstroke turbo diesel with 215,700 miles - only full synthetic oil used, very heavy duty Ranch Hand front bumper Rebuilt automatic transmission with 2,000 miles, transmission upgraded with billet torque converter, heavy duty bands, and shift kit, new rear main seal - wasn't leaking but while the transmission was out - why not put a new one in, Slotted brake rotors and brake pads have a lot of life left. Tow package and electric brake controller, XLT model with gray cloth seats with no rips or tears, interior is in excellent shape, hexo floor mats on all the rows and a rear cargo mat since I've owned the car to protect the carpet, carpet is stain free and in great shape, original floor mats under hexo mats, power windows, a/c works, heater, cd and tape deck, cold air intake with cleanable aem pro 7 filter and a aem pro dry filter so you can have one clean while cleaning the other, fuel injection wire harness was replaced at 204,000 miles along with the glow plugs, water pump/thermostat was replaced at 190,000 miles, Goodyear Duratrac E rated tires with 3/4 tread, aftermarket 17" wheels, four wheel drive works great, I switched out the factory vacuum hubs for Warn manual hubs that always work when you need them to. Only issue with car is the interior lights don't turn on when you open the doors, the interior lights work but not automatically when you open a door, just never got around to checking into it. Small scrape/dent on passenger side front fender, 2 small dings on front edge of the passenger side front door. Rear door hatch lock is getting weak because it sometimes locks and sometimes doesn't, Steering is a little loose but I'm sure good for a 215,000 mile car, small chips on hood, these things you can see in the pictures, Will be sad to see it go - any questions feel free to ask - I have bought a lot of cars from Ebay and that is why I have told you every little thing about the car. Car has original owners manual and haynes manual, when I bought the car I was given one key and key fob remote, I purchased another key and key fob remote but never programmed the remote. |

Watch NASCAR racer Brad Keselowski do a burnout... in a hotel conference room
Fri, 08 Mar 2013A vast majority of hotels frown upon smoking inside the building these days, but Brad Keselowski doesn't follow the rules. During his introduction at the 2013 MiilerCoors Distribution Convention, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion smoked the tires of his Miller-sponsored Ford Fusion stock car, adding a pair of thick, black stripes to the carpeting of the Marriott World Center's conference room.
This definitely isn't a high-quality video, but it's the perfect vantage point to watch Keselowski lay down some rubber and receive a well-deserved standing ovation after pulling up in front of the crowd. Check out the short-but-sweet video posted below.
2015 Ford F-150 [w/videos]
Thu, 02 Oct 2014To learn more about the all-new 2015 F-150 and get an early read on its potential hero-or-zero status, we flew to the heart of full-size pickup truck country, San Antonio, TX, to spend a day driving, towing and playing in the mud with an assortment of Ford's innovative new trucks.
First, a caveat - while we feel we have a reasonably good handle on the new F-150 after attending this first-drive event, we are far from ready to pass definitive judgment on the success of this radically new rig. Our time in the various models was lamentably limited and we felt rushed. With so much at stake and with so much to talk about and experience, we had zero alone time with the vehicle - there were Ford folks shadowing us at every moment.
And we still don't know everything there is to know about the trucks, as Ford is withholding some of its most crucial numbers, including curb weight data and anticipated EPA fuel economy figures. We don't even have a firm on-sale date. All of this information is typically disclosed - or at least officially estimated - at the time of a new vehicle's first drive. This limits the scope of the judgments we feel comfortable making based on our first encounter.
Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang
Mon, 30 Dec 2013Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.
