2001 - Ford Excursion on 2040-cars
Hamer, Idaho, United States
Condition: This excursion has been an amazing vehicle for my family. We are selling it because we had twins born almost 2 years ago and are now looking to have our 7th child and unfortunately have outgrown this, the largest SUV on the market. We will be looking to buy a 15 passenger van or something equivalent. This vehicle is amazingly clean for its age and has very minimal ware and Low miles. The drivers seat leather shows some ware on the door side where you slide over the edge. You can see from the pictures that I am missing some hub caps on some of my wheels, new caps have been ordered and will be included in the sale. I ordered a set of 4 to replace all of them. There is a short or something in the driver side power seat that controls the forward back motion. You can get it to move you just have to keep playing with the joystick until it starts to move. I have never had it looked at because I am usually the only one who drives this vehicle and don't need to adjust the seat very often. The only other item worth mention that I can recall is a small chip in the front driver side windshield. This has not begun to crack and I will make sure it is chip sealed prior to pickup. Features: This car is the perfect setup for a family. You have a very powerful engine that gets good mileage and can pull anything with its heavy duty tow package with brake controller. It is also set up with a dual screen rear entertainment system, one in dash screen and the other on the ceiling behind the front row of seats. 3rd row seating allowing for a total of 7 passengers. Large area behind the rear seat for luggage as well as a rooftop luggage rack. This has oversized tires with about 75% wear remaining on the rubber. Premium custom wheels. History: We are the 2nd owner of this vehicle and I purchase it from the GM dealer as a certified used car. I have maintained the car with all the scheduled maintenance as needed. Shipping and Payment: This purchase will be pickup only. We will require a deposit of $750 within 24 hrs. of auction close with the remaining funds and pickup within 7 days after auction close. All funds must be verified and cleared prior to release of the vehicle. Bank certified check or cash only. I do have a loan with a local credit union that will need to be paid so the transaction will happen at the credit union to ensure both parties protection on the exchange and proper documentation on the release of title to new owner

More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350
Tue, 17 Dec 2013During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.
Shelby GT350 to be auctioned for charity at Barrett-Jackson in January
Fri, Dec 26 2014If you just have to be the first person in the world to possess the latest Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang, then you need to be bidding during the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ, on January 17. That's because Ford is offering the chance to own the inaugural production example of its latest premiere pony car there. The buyer of the first GT350 gets to choose from any color and all of the available packages for their car. Although, the real highlight is probably being among the first to listen to the 5.2-liter V8 under the hood with its flat-plane crankshaft. Ford promises that the mill makes over 500 horsepower and more than 400 pound-feet of torque. To sweeten the deal even further, all of the proceeds of the sale go to the JDRF, a charity that funds type 1 diabetes research. There's no reserve on the auction for the GT350 but don't expect a bargain. Last year, the first 2015 'Stang raised $300,000 for the JDRF at the Barrett-Jackson sale, and the initial Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 brought in $650,000 for charity. You can read Ford's entire announcement about the event below. FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO SELL NEW SHELBY GT350 MUSTANG AT BARRETT-JACKSON SCOTTSDALE AUCTION TO BENEFIT JDRF First publicly available production unit of the all-new Shelby GT350® Mustang to be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, with all proceeds benefiting JDRF Winning bidder will be able to choose from available colors and packages for Shelby GT350 Ford-sponsored ride-and-drives during the auction will feature a full lineup of 2015 vehicles Ford Motor Company will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Shelby GT350 Mustang by auctioning the first production unit of the new-generation car available to the public for charity at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona. All proceeds will benefit JDRF, the country's leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research. Live coverage of the auction of the Shelby GT350 will air on Velocity on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. The winning bidder of lot No. 3008 – selling at No Reserve – will become owner of the coveted first retail production unit of Ford Shelby GT350, and choose from available Shelby GT350 colors and packages. In January 1964, Carroll Shelby and Ford Motor Company forever altered the automotive industry with the introduction of the GT350. It was offered through Ford dealers from 1965 through 1970.
Watch how Ford torture-tested the 2015 F-150
Wed, 09 Apr 2014The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling truck in the United States for the past 37 years, and the best-selling vehicle outright for the past 32. That's quite a legacy, and thus, it's no surprise that Ford worked super-duper-extra hard on creating the all-new, aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
During an event at the company's headquarters in Dearborn, MI this week, we were able to see all of the ways that Ford endurance tests, not just the new F-150, but all of its vehicles. From examining things like light exposure to interior materials and paint finishes, to making sure that corrosion absolutely does not happen when steel components come in contact with aluminum panels in the new truck. The goal: ensure that the new F-150 is nothing short of "Built Ford Tough."
But that's only a small part of the story. Of course, the new F-150 has to be able to withstand whatever a pickup buyer might throw at it - and truck buyers arguably demand the most from their vehicles. So in an effort to convey just what the new F-150 had to go through before being given the final go-ahead, Ford has released a series of videos, showing how its new halo truck was indeed torture tested.
