Ford E250 3/4 Ton Service Van W/ Shelves, Ladder Racks, Etc. on 2040-cars
Johnson City, Tennessee, United States
I have a 2002 Ford E250 cargo van for sale that we've used in my service business for the last few years. Upgraded to an E350. This van had Michelin Radial tires installed on it about 20000 miles back and still have a ton of tread left, I paid $1500.00 for these. Just had a service on the motor, new brakes and rotors all around. New Catalytic convertor. Transmission serviced, oil just changed with Lucas put in. This van has had a lot of service done to keep it going the right way!!!
The bad news. It does have a noise in the motor, although it still runs and drives great. I was told it was a piston wrist pin, but.......... It doesn't make the noise all the time and I have been told it could last for years as is. The van has been well cared for, as this is how I earn my living, so I've always tried to maintain it in the best way I could. It have shelving, it has ladder racks, it has a cage in it, heavy duty floor mats. It is ready to go for a service vehicle. Any reasonable offers will be considered. Any questions will be answered as promptly as I possibly can!! Attention, due to a non paying bidder I've had to relist this van!!! READ, READ please, I am an honest man and have always tried to do business as honestly as possible. It is up to YOU to read this add, to learn what this van is and isn't. I'll help any way shape or form that I can. But, please don't win my auction, or any other for that matter. Then ask how much you want for the van?? DUH How will I get the van? ummm Where is the van located? wow And all those other things!! I require a deposit when winning and i expect payment to be made in a prompt manner, PLEASE. Again, I will tell you anything I can about this vehicle, as I have nothing to hide. I've done a ton of work to this van this year alone and I've tried to list everything I'm aware of with it. I just found a great deal on a 2013 E350 super duty van and had to jump at it!!! But, this van, even with a motor knock is still a great buy. A person can purchase it and jump right into it and start doing service. New brakes, oil service, tune up, tranny filter and fluid change. I put Lucas oil treatment in it. Tires were the best Michelin had two years ago and still have a lot of tread left. This isn't a cream puff van, but I've taken care of it!! I mean it was the way I made my living, so I had no choice. If you have any questions or want to make an offer, PLEASE do so before the auction ends. You are responsible for shipping, you are responsible for paying me!!! You are responsible for checking the van out if you choose to do so!!!! Thanks!!!!! ATTENTION: This is the third time I've relisted this van!!! If you cannot pay, aren't sure this van is for you, please do not bid on it. If you're just looking for a van, but not sure if you want this one, please no bidding on this one. I have been in business for 26 years now and I've made it this far in part by being an honest person!!! I'm not out to rip people off, but the price on the van is more than fair, it has had a ton of work done on it. Tires are in great condition, brakes are new, plus other things done. Radio works, heat works, A/C works, drives good. I just saw an 01 with 159k miles in my service area going for $6k. If you want to make a serious offer, please do so. But, no low ball offers will be responded too. And please, if you're not gonna pay for this and put us through all the stuff we'll have to go through, then why bid???? |

Weekly Recap: Volvo buys Polestar, makes performance a priority
Sat, Jul 18 2015Volvo is taking its performance business in-house, and the Swedish carmaker announced Tuesday that it bought tuning company Polestar, which has long been known for producing sporty Volvos. The move allows Volvo to ramp up its performance business, and it plans to increase Polestar-branded vehicle sales to 1,000 to 1,500 annually, up from the 750 total projected for this year. The companies have been working together on motorsports projects since 1996. Financial terms of the sale were not released, and Polestar workers will move over to Volvo. Former Polestar owner Christian Dahl will keep control of the Polestar racing team and operate it under a new name. In addition to sales volume, Volvo has ambitious plans for other parts of Polestar, including its aftermarket business. Volvo also said it will use its twin-engine hybrid technology for Polestar models in the future, though specifics and timing were not revealed. Meanwhile, Volvo announced it will offer a run of 265 total Polestars in the United States for the 2016 model year, with S60 and V60s available. "Driving a Volvo Polestar is a special experience. We have decided to bring this experience to more Volvo drivers, placing the full resources of Volvo behind the development of Polestar as the model name for our high performance cars," Volvo CEO Hakan Samuelsson said in a statement. OTHER NEWS & NOTES 2016 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, get nose jobs Automakers tend to refer to light updates as 'facelifts,' and that's exactly what Chevy gave the 2016 Silverado and GMC Sierra. Chevy slightly changed the front end of the truck. Using the one photo released of the new Z71 model as a guide, we can see that the headlights went from a stacked vertical design to single bulbs, and they are set on top of LED running lights. The grille has more body-colored elements instead of shiny metal, and the hood has a new line running down the middle (look really closely). The design theme will be similar across the portfolio, though materials and details will vary, a spokesman said. Some models, like the High Country and LTZ will have more chrome, and the LEDs are only for the upper trims. Chevy also said it will use the eight-speed automatic transmission on more versions of the Silverado, and it updated the MyLink feature to support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Ford doubling 1.0L EcoBoost engine production
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine hasn't been around that long, but it sounds like the engine is getting to be fairly popular in the automaker's global car lineup. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford has add a second shift that will allow its German engine plant to double daily output from 500 engines to 1,000.
The increased capacity is part of a plan to sell more than 300,000 vehicles a year with this engine in Europe by 2015. Europe is currently the only market where the smallest of the EcoBoost engines is offered (including in the Focus pictured above), but US-spec Fiesta models will be getting this mill for 2014.
Three-cylinder engines are expected to continue to grow in popularity in coming years with the report indicating that global production of these engines will double by 2018 to 9.8 million units. General Motors, BMW and Mitsubishi are all expected to introduce three-cylinder engines in the near term, as well.
This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like
Sat, 12 Oct 2013Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.
