UP FOR AUCTION IS A E-350 4 WHEEL DRIVE BY QUIGLEY, EXTENDED CAB, HI TOP, 7.3 POWERSTROKE DIESEL VAN. THIS VAN HAS ONLY THE PASSENGERS AND DEIVERS SEAT. THIS IS A GREAT BEACH GOING VECHICLE AND CAN TOW THE BIGGEST TRAVEL TRAILER THEY MAKE. IT WAS ORIGINALLY CONVERTED BY SHERROD AS A LUXURY VAN. THE ONLY THINGS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT IS A SET OF NEW SEATS AND AN ELECTRIC BED. THE VAN HAS A FEW MINOR DINGS AND ONE SMALL RUST SPOT ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE. THE TIRES ARE FIRESTONE TOP OF THE LINE TIRES AND ARE LIKE NEW.THERE IS A DUEL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM BUT ITS NOT BLOWING COLD AIR I BELIEVE IT NEEDS SOME FREEON. OTHERWISE THE VAN RUNS GREAT, NO LEAKS, DOESNT BURN ANY OIL, AND ITS AN ABSOLUTE POWERHOUSE. I BOUGHT THE VAN NEW IN 2000. I PROMISE YOU , YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT. If YOU WERE TO REPLACE IT TODAY IT WOULD COST IN THE AREA OF 125,000.00. IF YOU GIVE IT A LITTLE TLC YOU CAN HAVE A VECHICLE THAT WILL NEVER LOSE ITS VALUE. REMEMBER IT IS A 7.3 POWERSTROKE DIESEL, ITS A 80% CONVERTED LUXURY VAN ONLY NEEDS THE SEATS,ITS AN EXTENDED CHASSIS,AND ITS A HIGH TOP AND ITS 4 WHEEL DRIVE. THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE IS LIKE BRAND NEW. DONT LET THIS ONE GET AWAY, THIS IN MY OPINION IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPERTUNITY. THE OIL WAS CHANGED EVERY 2000 MILES. THE VAN IS IN MELBOURNE FL. AND CAN BE BROUGHT AS FAR NORTH AS THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE FOR A FEE

Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect is worth more if we keep it in the box
Wed, 06 Nov 2013If the 2014 Transit Connect is anything like it's utile current-generation predecessor, and we suspect it is, it will undoubtedly be one of the most functional vehicles in North America. Ford has used the occasion of SEMA to turn the TC in to things that both make use of that functionality, and occasionally sort of wreck it in the name of good old-fashioned fun. The Ford Hot Wheels Transit Connect most certainly falls into that second category.
Most TC owners might cite the vehicle's massive cargo capacity as its top positive trait, though in the case of this wide-bodied Transit said space has been sapped in the name of a 55-inch television screen, a massive Hot Wheels drag strip (continuing a popular theme at SEMA this year) and custom storage for dozens of models from one's personal hot wheels collection. Designers have also plucked the grippy Recaro seats from the Focus ST, and thrown in a pair of 18-inch tablet screens for connectivity on the go.
Naturally, the Transit Connect wouldn't be an appropriate SEMA vehicle, or Hot Wheels name-bearer, if it weren't wearing an eye-popping appearance package. Additional homage to the Focus RS can be found in the blazing blue and orange front fascia and bumpers, while 20-inch wheels make sure the wider (four-inches in front and six-inches in the back) Transit Connect sits just right. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder-engine that powers the Hot Wheels TC ensures that the concept is more show than go, but you probably had that pegged from your first look, anyway.
Ford recalling nearly 5,700 2014 F-150s for power steering issue
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Ford is recalling 5,675 of its 2014 F-150 pickups over an issue with the electric power steering system. There haven't been any injuries or accidents due to the issue.
Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Autoblog that the "electric power-assisted steering and motor position sensor gear were incorrectly installed by a supplier," leading to the recall.
While the recall is larger on the surface, it's important to note that only 260 trucks have been delivered to customers. The remaining pickups are currently en route to dealers. The affected vehicles were manufactured between May 26 and June 19.
Ford won't be releasing GT500 lap times for the 'Ring, or any other car
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Trucks have towing capacity, EVs have driving range and performance cars have Nürburgring lap times. What do all three have in common? They should all be taken with a grain of salt. Currently, there is no sanctioned way to record lap times or verify production-spec cars - a lesson we recently learned with the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo - and until there is a way to do so (and there probably never will be), we'll never officially know the actual time it took for Ford to lap the 'Ring with its ultra-powerful Shelby GT500.
After posting a Ford-made video of a 2013 GT500 running around the 'Ring, the guys over at SVTPerformance.com (an enthusiasts forum not affiliated with Ford or SVT) wanted more answers. They got in touch with Ford's Global Performance Vehicle Chief Engineer Jamal Hameedi, who said until there is a way to verify the times and inspect the cars, Ford will not get involved with lap-time wars. In the email, Hameedi pointed out that the 'Ring is a useful tool in that it allows a wide spectrum of track conditions, but until there is a governed way to record times, there is no way to accurately compare cars head-to-head.
And as much as some may not like it, Hameedi speaks the truth. It really isn't possible to compare times from one car to another, unless those cars were lapping the same track at the same time with the same driver. Not that any of this means there won't be continuous wars by fans and manufacturers alike... in other words, feel free to voice your opinions in the Comments below.
