Here is a handicap van with all the handicap accessories.  We just took the van to a mobility store to have all the handicap equipment checked and serviced if needed.  All the handicap equipment is in excellent working condition and is 100% ready to go.  You are able to open the automatic side doors by the contact points in the rear tail light and operate the lift as well.  You can also use the remote to operate the doors and the lift also.  There is a picture of the remote for you to see.  On the dash is another control panel to operate the doors and lift.  The Crow River Tri-fold lift folds up to allow easy access to the van from the side as seen in the pictures.  The floor is lowered 6" to allow plenty of head room no matter what type of wheelchair you are in with the high top as well as the lowered floor.  The driver's seat moves all the way back, turns to the side and lifts all the way up to be level with a wheelchair to allow a handicap person to transfer from his wheelchair to the driver's seat.

The van starts right up every time and idles smooth and quite.  The motor is strong and the transmission shifts smooth as it should.  The van runs and drives smooth down the road.  The van drives in a straight line and also stops in a straight line with no shaking, shimmy or pulling.  The brakes are in good working order.  The interior is in good shape for the year.  There is a rip in the rear bench seat from the wheelchair.  The driver and passenger's seats are in excellent shape. There is an air bag light on but I believe it is due to the passenger seat is removable and the driver's seat is handicap accessible since it has a different wiring system for the handicap seats.   The exterior is also in great shape for the year.  The paint has a nice shine to it and the body is solid and straight as seen in the pictures.  There are a few scratches as to be expected.  The tires have about 75% life still in them and are in great shape.  The power rear bench fold down flat with a push of a button.

If you have any questions please give me a call 309-333-6796(Tom).

Please look at all the pictures.

If you would like to ride the Amtrak train Macomb, IL I can pick you up at the train station.  Please give me a call before you buy your tickets.

This van is being sold through an Illinois dealer.  All Illinois residents tax, title and plate fees apply.  Out of state residents there are NO other fees just the purchase price of the van.

RWD Lincolns are coming, fate depends partly on MKZ success

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

The product portfolio at Lincoln may seem a bit sparse at the moment, but if a report is to be believed, new products are on the way. TheDetroitBureau.com spoke with sources at Lincoln and Ford, who claimed the American premium brand is working on, perhaps more than one, rear-wheel-drive vehicle.
Lincoln would likely platform-share with the next-generation Ford Mustang to develop those RWD offerings in the early going. Moving forward, the report indicates that Lincoln could take the lead on other rear-drive projects in the future. As the RWD architecture continues to take shape, "most or all" of the front-wheel-drive portfolio will also be offered with all-wheel drive as an option, ala Audi.
But wait, there's more! The report also suggests that a replacement for the full-size MKS is on the way, as well as a new Navigator and a luxury crossover based on the current Ford Escape.

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.

Ford adds 850 jobs to build 2015 F-150

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

Pickup trucks tend not to advance at quite the same pace as the rest of the industry. That's what makes the new Ford F-150 so remarkable, jettisoning its old steel construction in favor of aluminum. It's a game changer that Ford is betting big on, and in anticipation of surging demand, the Blue Oval automaker is adding 850 new jobs to put the thing together.
Those 850 new employees will be centered at Ford's Rouge complex in Michigan - with 300 at Dearborn Stamping, 50 more at Dearborn Diversified and 500 at the Dearborn Truck facility, the latter of which has already kicked off what Ford describes as "the largest manufacturing transformation in decades." Old manufacturing equipment is being replaced with the latest technologies, and even the Ford Rouge Factory Tour is undergoing a complete overhaul.
The new jobs come as part of the commitments Ford made to the UAW in 2011 to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the United States by 2015 - a number which Ford has already exceeded at 14,000. Over 4,000 of those are centered in southeastern Michigan.
