Up for sale is a nice well maintained 1994 Ford Econoline 1 ton Van that has been used in wheelchair service, but most recently as a cargo van. It starts up and idles great. Transmission shifts smooth. Brand new hankook heavy duty tires were put on recently - only have 2500 miles on them. Rear cargo ramp works excellent. Rides good for a 1 ton van! Very heavy - weighs 6500lbs. Extensive maintenance has been done to this van and it is TRULY ready for WORK! Purchased this van for our business and unfortunately we are having to shut the biz down. I purchased this one from Chicago Illinois and brought it back here to use in Colorado. Does have the Chicago road salt rust on the body bottoms - frame and underneath arent too bad. Many of the parts have been replaced over the years so it did not get rusted through. Little rust on the ramp, but not through. Transmission was rebuilt with top grade parts from a 30 year transmission shop in Ft Morgan Colorado. Still has approx 9 months on warranty. Engine runs like a top - alot was done over and above a tune up to make it roadworthy. I have upgraded the ECU computer, changed out all the vacuum hoses, replaced EGR valve, IAC valve (to make it idle smooth, MAP sensor, Rebuilt distributor with MSD PARTS, emission sensors on engine replaced, changed spark plug wires, fuel pressure regulator, just to name a few of the items that were done. Truck is ready and is rolling on the road EVERY DAY. Engine is very clean internally - When I pulled the plugs they were clean. It does not smoke, hesitate nor use any oil. AC and heat works great both front and back. It is really geared for highway driving. It cruises at 75 good with approx 2000 rpm. I see 11-12 mpg and I do alot of city driving. Dont really plan on more - the sheer weight will just not let it see 13-14. Unless you live in Texas and flat road going down hills alot.
EVERYTHING WORKS - LIGHTS, RADIO, WIPERS, HEADLIGHTS, BRIGHTS, HEAT, AC, Rear Ramp.
It drives down the highway good. Smooth - only needs a bushing on the sway bar (included) installed to be a perfect ride.
Needs an o2 sensor - very inexpensive fix.
Those are the only two issues with the van. I have spent Well over $4500 in parts on this van - and unless your a ford mechanic, you dont want to buy one of these that has not had these things done to it! You will spend hours throwing wrenches otherwise - I promise you.
Van is sold as-is where is - I can meet you at Colorado Springs airport (COS) or Denver International (DEN) for you to pickup. I will not ship but would be glad to assist you with the driver of your preference. It is a tall vehicle so be aware of that when you arrange shipping.
Thanks for looking

Ford's Simple Suit Makes You Feel Like A Drunk Driver
Tue, Mar 25 2014We've all heard about the dangers of drunk driving for practically our entire lives. Whether it's from PSAs on TV or lectures in school, no one can claim ignorance of drunk driving being extremely dangerous. However, that doesn't prevent some people from still doing it. Ford is trying to take the safety message directly to young drivers with a special suit that allows them to simulate driving under the influence. It is all part of Ford's Driving Skills for Life program that gives free driving education to young people. The program is meant to "train kids in skills they don't learn in driver's ed," said Kelli Felker, Ford Safety Communications Manager, to Autoblog. The drivers don a few items to impair their senses and make them off-balance to simulate having a few too many drinks and then go out on a closed course with an instructor to see the effects. Felker said that the suit is a new part of the program, and Ford just received the outfit in the US. It will be incorporated into the training here in the late spring or early summer. Scroll down to see the effect it has on drivers in Europe. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
Average transaction prices climb to a record $36,270 in January
Sat, Feb 3 2018The automotive sector made a hash of the numbers last month, a mess of pluses and minuses clogging the transaction-price charts according to Kelley Blue Book. The overall industry rose one percent, even though buyers bought fewer cars and light vehicles in January 2018 vs 2017 using the selling-day adjusted rate. Due to January transaction prices rising to $36,270, a record for January, the value of new vehicles sold climbed more than $1 billion compared to January 2017. KBB's transaction prices don't include customer incentives, which changes the complexion slightly; average incentive spending rose to just over ten percent. The average transaction price in December 2017 was $36,756, so January dropped a bit - nothing unexpected, with the month annually blamed for "January doldrums." More revealing is the fact that the average transaction price in January 2017 was $34,910. This year's plumped-up figure came courtesy of the continued shift to crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks, which shouldn't surprise anyone who's read an automotive blog in the past 20 years. That category comprised nearly 70 percent of new vehicle sales for the month. Some manufacturers profited more than others, though. Fiat Chrysler managed 12.8 percent fewer sales in January compared year-on-year, but the company's vehicles sold for $1,300 more. The Ford brand suffered a 6.3-percent dip in sales, but brand transaction prices increased $2,000, while a Lincoln sold for $8,700 more on average. General Motors sold more cars and sold them for more money; overall GM transaction prices rose four percent, or $1,270, while a GMC traded hands for seven-percent more than in January 2017 and a Cadillac got $2,300 more on average. Of KBB's listed automakers, the Volkswagen Group got the most of out its customers, transaction prices rising at the German automaker by 5.6 percent to $42,243 in January 2018 compared to a year earlier. American Honda followed with a 4.3-percent increase to $28,991, GM in third at 4.1 percent to $40,313. Find your next car at Autoblog using our new and used car listings or the Car Finder tool. Broken out by segment, minivans rocked the table, transaction prices leaping by 7.9 percent to $35,380 compared to January a year earlier. Luxury cars boasted the next-highest rise, at 3.6 percent to $58,533.
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
