This auction is for a 1987 Ford E350 Party Bus.

PLEASE NOTE: THE PREVIOUS OWNER TO THIS VEHICLE WAS A CHURCH. THE NAME OF IT WAS PETERSBURG CHURCH OF CHRIST IN PETERSBURG ILLINOIS.

I HAVE THE ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE SO YOU CAN VERIFY IT CAME FROM THE CHURCH.

We purchased this vehicle in 2011 as a wheel chair transport. We have a limousine, party bus and taxi company that services the Central Illinois Area. We purchased this vehicle so we would have something that could transport wheelchair people who cant get in our other vehicles. Our main state contract mandates that we have at least one wheel chair accessible vehicle to service those customers who are not mobile. It worked well for this type of service.

In December of 2012 we ended up finding a 15 passenger van that has a lift. It burns ALOT less fuel and can be used with little to no experience. Because this bus is so large some of our older drivers have a hard time driving it especially at night. Everything works and it passed our state mandated mechanical inspection in November 2012. Below are the items we have replaced or repaired.

1987 Ford Party Bus E350

Engine Type: V8
Passengers: 15-20
Fuel Type: Regular 87 Gas (NON DESIEL)
Exterior Color: White
Interior Color: Black/White

Recent Repairs:

- Newer Tires in 2011
- Rear Muffler Repair
- Transmission Flush
- Top Engine Flush
- Newer Batteries for COLD START
- Block Warmer )For cold starts.)
- The standard seats were stained in black.
- Temp Gauge (Mechanical)
- Repair Wheel Chair Lift (Works & has been used by us in the last 12 months)
- Newer Paint Job (This was done with a high volume sprayer so its not perfect. The windows are all clean but expect to have to do some touch up each year because of the fiberglass shell.)

PLEASE READ THE BELOW INFO:

WE REMOVED THE SEATS BECAUSE WE SEALED THE FLOOR WITH AN EXPOXY SOLUTION. THIS MAKES THE FLOOR COMPLETELY BLACK AND IT LOOKS AWSOME! WE HAVE NOT PUT THE SEATS BACK IN AS THEY WERE ORIGINALLY. WE WERE PLANNING ON CREATING A WRAP AROUND PARTY BUS SEATING STYLE. IF YOU TOOK THE TIME TO BUILD A NICE BENCH THAT WRAPPED AROUDN THE BUS YOU COULD FIT 20-25 PEOPLE IN THE VEHICLE. WE USED IT PRIMARILY FOR A WHEELCHAIR VEHICLE/BACKUP TO OUR MAIN FLEET.

This vehicle would make a good party bus, extra bus, backup vehicle or cargo transport vehicle. We used it alot from moving parts from the stores to the garage. Just putting 200-300 bucks into the seating would make a really nice bus. Its truly in good shape and just needs some TLC. The motor is low milage and the other options all work perfectly.(With the exception of the a/c compressor which will need to be replaced.) AutoZone has one for $89 bucks or you could buy one direct from Ford for $289. We like the auto-zone parts because of the lifetime warranty.

PLEASE NOTE: THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE IS FIBERGLASS AND ALUMINUM SO IT WILL NEVER RUST!!!!!

This would make a nice bus for a new limo company as well.

If you have any questions please feel free to send us a message or email us: ceo@peoriafivestartaxi.com.

Thanks!!!!!

Detroit 3 and UAW could create healthcare pool

Thu, Sep 3 2015

Healthcare costs continue to multiply in the US with no clear end in sight, but the United Auto Workers and the Big Three are negotiating a way to rapid growth under control. As part of the latest contract talks, the union has an idea to create a healthcare pool across all of its members at Ford, General Motors, and FCA US. If accepted, the company-wide integration would spread out the expenses and create a massive member base for bargaining with insurance companies. Both Ford and GM are at least considering the proposal, according to The Detroit News, and FCA US might be on board, as well. The idea is the work of current UAW president Dennis Williams and is based on the similar pool for the Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association for retirees. "I've walked through this several ways; I just don't have any other answer," Williams said to The Detroit News. "I do believe this will work. It's worked with the VEBA." Williams was elected UAW president last year and won by an overwhelming margin. He vowed no more concessions to automakers. In addition to healthcare, the two-tier wage system is another major talking point in the contract negotiation because it gives fewer benefits to entry-level workers. Higher wages are also a request. Healthcare costs are a massive expense for automakers and are expected to reach over $2 billion this year, according to The Detroit News. The payments are up nearly 50 percent or more in just the last four years.

Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.
