You are bidding on the 1979 Ford fully customized "Dream Maker" van exclusively built, custom painted, and used in the Ke$ha video C'MON. I was told she was the one who thought of, designed, and approved the paint job and the outside customizations. It has a good running 351 engine and automatic transmission with a fully customized furry interior that was done back in the late 70's. The interior does need to be freshened up especially on the door panels and dash cover where the sun has damaged the material. All the door handles have been shaved and it now has electric push button door releases all of which was also done in the 70's. It has an ice box, vintage cb radio, vintage radar detector, sunroof and the 8 track tape player you see in the video. It runs and drives great and as you can imagine draws ALOT of looks and attention. The tail,ears, and whiskers have been removed but will come with the van if you want them. There is a little glue residue from where the whiskers were. It may come off with some elbow grease but I will leave that up to the new owner. It is not a showcar paint job but alot of time and effort went into the detail. The picture of the drawing is what was given to the paint shop. I have put a modest reserve on this van to protect my investment. This is a one of a kind van and is sure to turn heads any time you drive it plus has a little notarity behind it.. Ford recalling 830,000 vehicles to replace side door latches
Thu, Aug 4 2016The Basics: Ford is conducting a recall for roughly 830,000 models. The affected vehicles include the 2013 to 2015 Ford C-Max, 2012 to 2015 Ford Focus, 2013 to 2015 Ford Escape, 2015 Lincoln MKC, 2015 Ford Mustang, and 2014 to 2016 Ford Transit Connect. The recall is focused primarily in Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, California, Arizona, Hawaii, Georgia, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, Washington, and Oregon as the problem mostly affects cars in states with warm weather. The Problem: The pawl spring tab in the side door latch in the affected vehicles could break, preventing the door from latching and could even cause the door to open while driving. Injuries/Deaths: There is one reported injury and one reported accident. The Fix: Dealers will replace the affected cars' side door latches. If you own one: Reach out to your local Ford dealer to schedule a service. Ford pits Cobra Jet versus GRC Fiesta ST, worlds collide
Thu, 31 Oct 2013Racing takes on many forms in the automotive world. There are sanctioned events that are as varied and diverse as NASCAR, Formula One, Global Rallycross and drag racing, and to be good enough to win competitively in one discipline, you need to have a specialized vehicle. Or do you?
Ford decided to find out what would happen when its Global Rallycross Fiesta ST, driven by Tanner Foust, lined up against its Mustang Cobra Jet drag racer, driven by Roy Hill. In one lane, Tanner has just 2.0 liters of displacement to work with, while Roy has more than double that, at 5.0 liters. Evening the playing field a bit, Tanner has a massive turbocharger and all-wheel drive; Roy has to filter all his supercharged power through the rear wheels only.

Ford announces free brake pad offer if customers stop by dealers
Mon, 04 Aug 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers.
"We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts.
Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1.
