I have some spare parts i have collected for it. It has a dent in the passenger side front fender. It has a broken rear window latch I haven't been able to find a replacement for. I have it tied together with a piece of wire until I have been able to find that part. It could use a paint job but I like the patina."

This hot rod econoline has been my Family car now for the past 3 years. I've had a lot of fun with it. We recently moved to Utah from the Portland Oregon area (Vancouver, Washington). It has been to several car shows up and down the coast in Oregon and Washington. I came across it by accident. when I traded a bronco I had, it ended up being part of the deal. I wasn't to happy about it at first but after driving it the first time I was sold. Since having it I have had the transmission gone through and re sealed. I have had the brakes re done, the suspension fixed up with new bushings and shocks, It now has power steering which is a huge plus. I also put in a stereo head unit cd player with accessory port, remote, amp, 2-10" speakers in a box, 2 tweets in the dash, 2-6" speakers in the doors and, and 2 6"x9" speakers in the back. Its loud and has good quality sound. The kids love it and its loud enough my deaf daughter can feel the music. I put in some Lincoln leather seats in the front. The stock benches are still in the back they are all in great condition. I put a new head liner in it a couple years ago. Since we have been in Utah I have had new magna flow dual exhaust put on it and had the carb rebuilt. It passes safety and emissions. Its a little cold blooded but when it warms up its a monster. The 302 (5.0) has plenty of power. It is a really good cruiser on the freeway. Nice and smooth and doesn't wander. It has a nice set of slotted mags on it. The rear tires are one size taller than the front so it has a nice rake to it. I have a few more parts that are ready to go on it I just haven't had the time since moving. They will go with it if you want them. Power brake bracket, booster and master. (that setup is hard to find). A fresh re-cored 4 core radiator. (it's also bigger out of a motor home) the little radiator in it now is fine but gets a little warm for my liking. Also an extra vent, some lights and a hood. This rig is hard to find parts for, so when I have found them I got them. This is still my family car and I drive it regularly. This van is definitely outside of the norm. But its rust free and a lot of fun to drive, it gets a lot of attention.

Fallon picks Ford F-150 King Ranch, launches dealership contest

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner.
To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins.
Watch Fallon make his pick and introduce the dealer reps below, and be sure to click on the second video for a live-streaming feed of Fingers on a 4x4 in action (the contest seems to be going strong).

Xcar shows how to drive the Ford Model T

Wed, Jan 21 2015

A couple of weeks ago Xcar posted a teaser review of the Ford Model T, a look at what the British duo would have been doing if they'd been doing their thing for 100 years. Now we have their complete, 12-minute take on the what might be, as they say, "arguably the most important car of the 20th century." Thankfully, instead of just a review, Xcar spends about half the time giving us a tour of history, from Ford's early days working for the Edison Illuminating Company to his racing days and founding of several car companies that either died or became other car companies after he left, like Cadillac. They also line up the pieces and the sales realities that led to Ford implementing – not creating, mind you – assembly-line production of the Tin Lizzie. And then they get into how crazy it is to drive, like how a driver needs two of the three pedals, the handbrake lever and a steering column stalk to get into high gear. Enjoy the video above on a 100-year-old car that is "unbelievably comfortable," "mildly terrifying" and ready to do just about anything.

Ford reveals EcoBoost-powered Riley prototype for Daytona 24

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

It's not the first time Ford has participated in the Daytona Prototype class as an engine supplier, but in revealing this new EcoBoost V6-powered Riley Technologies prototype for the new United SportsCar Championship, Ford is making a statement: "We want to show Ford EcoBoost's capabilities as an engine that provides both performance and fuel economy, on and off the track," says Jamie Allison, director of Ford Racing.
In addition to supplying the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, Ford had its production designer Garen Nicoghosian give the racecar brand-inspired design cues with support from Ford Racing chief aerodynamicist Bernie Marcus.
The car is scheduled to compete at next year's Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25-26, but before that, Michael Shank Racing is working with Ford at another goal. Driving his Ford Thunderbird, NASCAR champion Bill Elliott set the track's top speed record at 210.364 miles per hour during a qualifying run for the Daytona 500 - way back in 1987 -- and Ford thinks it's about time for that record to fall. What better time the introduction of this new Ford-powered Daytona Prototype? Michael Shank Racing plans to use the twin-turbo V6-powered racer to beat Elliott's record, and it expects to begin prepping for the top-speed run on October 9. Scroll down for the full press release below on Ford's latest race effort.
