This has been my personal weekend toy. This is a 1961 Ford Econoline. This is the rare rear 1/4 wrap around window version. First year of the Econoline. I'm selling the car simply because I have too many toy and too many projects.

The car started as your standard everyday Econoline truck. The old inline 6 was pulled and a 302 V8 T/A spec motor was installed. I don't have all the specs off the top of my head but it has roller rockers, aluminum heads, high(er) compression pistons. 800cfm Demon Carb. (camshaft spec .542 lift, 286 Dur, 62 Overlap) Custom head hugger headers to fit in the doghouse with a custom engine mount setup. Magnaflow exhaust all the way back. It sounds really good!

I had the 3 speed manual in the car up until two years ago. I replaced it with a much easier to drive C4 Auto. The 3 on the tree shifter is still there and a custom linkage was made to work with the C4 so it can be put back to original if needed. The clutch pedal is also still there but disconnected. The suspension (leaf springs) were de-arced to lower the stance about 2inches. Not too dramatic. The wheels are moon style.

The brake system was just -- -- REBUILT -- -- with new brakes and brake master. Stops on a dime.

The interior is very spartan but tasteful. Grey fabric with matching seats. Paint is a Porsche Black/Blue.

I have spare parts for it I will include like front and rear bumpers, tailgate etc most spares are in original unrestored condition.

The stickers are from my families brewery. They're vinyl and can be easily removed. It's been driven little and only used on the weekends at beer festivals.

Ford pits The Stig against Gran Turismo 6 in Focus ST Goodwood run

    Thu, 03 Jul 2014

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world great automotive gatherings. So, it was the perfect event for Ford to give the refreshed 2015 Focus ST its world debut in front of a loving public. It even surprised us with a new diesel-powered version, as well.
The Blue Oval really put its focus on making the ST a better driver for this refresh. It left its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder alone to still pump out a respectable 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The changes like a retuned front suspension, electric power steering and improved interior made the hot hatch an even better place to spend time behind the wheel.
To prove that the Focus ST is still as potent as ever, Ford set up a one-on-one race up the Goodwood Hill. But instead of putting the two cars side-by-side, former Stig from Top Gear UK, Ben Collins, piloted the real model up the course, and his rival drove the virtual version in Gran Turismo 6. The two hot hatches set off at the same time to see whether reality could beat the virtual world, and the finish was actually extremely close. Scroll down to watch the video and find out the winner of this battle at Goodwood.

Creations n' Chrome Top Notch Mustang is a one-of-a-kind fox

    Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Is there a cooler car from the 1980s and early 90s to mod than a Fox-body Ford Mustang? No, there isn't. If you disagree with us, we suggest you have a look at this 1990 Mustang Coupe, which just might change your mind. Although considering just how extensively modified this car - the Top Notch Mustang from Creations n' Chrome - is, we wonder just how much Ford is left in this old pony.
It rides on a custom race tube chassis that weighs a scant 700 pounds, while carbon-fiber bits and bobs help lower the overall curb weight to a mere 2,400 pounds. When paired with supercharged, 5.0-liter, Aluminator V8 from Ford Racing, the results are, doubtlessly, exciting. 855 horsepower at the rear wheels and 667 pound-feet of torque are available from that force-fed V8 should be just plenty for this car's intended purpose of running in standing-mile competitions.
The Top Notch Mustang is more extreme than just weight savings and a big engine, though. That 5.0-liter is essentially in what's known as a front-mid layout - where the engine is actually behind the front axle. In this case, the 5.0-liter V8 is 17 inches further back than a factory Fox-body, for better weight distribution. As a result, the cabin has been completely overhauled. An SLA front suspension, wheels from HRE, Wilwood brakes and Sparco interior items round out the extensive list of mods.

J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum

    Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.
