2002 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. This car has been in over 65 movies and tv shows in the last 2 years, so you know you can make money with it.
The big value in this car is that it's ready for a cheap lightbar and ready for movie work. Retired Police cars tend to all have their stickers removed by what I could only guess as a 4" metal grinder... (or a chainsaw in some cases LOL) Anyways, this is decent paint for movie work, otherwise repainting a decommissioned Police Car is around $1,300 and even more when it comes with body damage from sticker removal (Just go to a Police Auction and see the condition they are in!)
116,000 miles, STRONG motor and Automatic transmission. The wear issues with these cars have been resolved, as they are famous for having the heater hose port break off the intake manifold, so I replaced that last year.
The car WILL come with a Police Partition (Cage) and plastic prisoner seats, but I have a NEW rear seat if you wanna use the car as a commuter. 8 corner strobe lights are likely to come with the car, lots of Police Stuff if you wanna pay for it. (I got a 2008 that I'm switching everything over to.) If you wanna pay me fair market value for Police gear, I'll leave it on, saving you installation labor.
New stereo, with CD player but needs speakers
Paint it okay, rear doors are fresher paint, hood and trunk 2 years ago, but it's not as good as factory. There are a few small chips and scratches but ALL cop cars have those.
I upgraded to slotted and drilled front rotors and new pads 2 weeks ago, you can feel the difference in hard stopping, especially if repeated stops
Rear windows do not operate and I will be giving you rear door panels off my 2008, so they won't match color wise.
Driver's spotlight works great, I never got around to seeing why the passenger Side one isn't working.
Front windshield was replaced last year. Also replaced most of the pulleys and serpentine belt as well as the alternator last year.
The interior is that blue color, not too pretty, but for movie work it's fine. headliner will have some material removed when I pull the dash cam, and some damage from installing lights, switches, etc, Deal with it.
Most of my decals are magnetic, so you don't have to worry about removing them.
You will have a lot of hubcaps, the baby moons are on, and LAPD replica covers are over them. I also have about 7 spares that I can give you.
There's a nail in one of the tires, been there for a while, never been an issue, tires are okay, but probably need replacing by next winter.
There will be a few holes in the roof from 2 Antennas and my Arjent S2 LED lightbar that might be for sale.
Hit me up if you have any questions, don't be looking for a Beauty Queen, but it runs strong, gets good MPG and of course these cars run forever.
Come out and test drive it.

Lexus tops JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study again, Buick bests Toyota
Wed, Feb 25 2015It shouldn't surprise anyone, but Lexus has once again taken the top spot in JD Power's Vehicle Dependability Study. That'd be the Japanese luxury brand's fourth straight year at the top of table. The big news, though, is the rise of Buick. General Motor's near-premium brand beat out Toyota to take second place, with 110 problems per 100 vehicles compared to Toyota's 111 problems. Lexus owners only reported 89 problems per 100 vehicles. Besides Buick's three-position jump, Scion enjoyed a major improvement, jumping 13 positions from 2014. Ram and Mitsubishi made big gains, as well, moving up 11 and 10 positions, respectively. In terms of individual segments, GM and Toyota both excelled, taking home seven segment awards each. The study wasn't good news for all involved, though. A number of popular automakers finished below the industry average of 147 problems per 100 vehicles, including Subaru, (157PP100), Volkswagen (165PP100), Ford/Hyundai (188PP100 each) and Mini (193PP100). The biggest losers (by a tremendous margin, we might add) were Land Rover and Fiat, recording 258 and 273 problems per 100 vehicles. The next closest brand was Jeep, with 197PP100. While the Vehicle Dependability Study uses the same measurement system as the Initial Quality Survey, the two metrics analyze very different things. The VDS looks at problems experienced by original owners of model year 2012 vehicles over the past 12 months, while the oft-quoted IQS focuses on problems in the first 90 days of new-vehicle ownership. Like the IQS, though, the VDS has a rather broad definition of what a problem is. Because of that, a low score from JD Power is no guarantee of extreme unreliability, so much as just poor design. In this most recent study, the two most reported problems focused on Bluetooth connectivity and the voice-command systems. The former leaves plenty of room for user error due to poor design (particularly true of the Bluetooth systems on the low-scoring Fords, Volkswagens and Subarus), while the second is something JD Power has already confirmed as being universally terrible. That makes means that while these studies are important, they shouldn't be taken as gospel when it comes to automotive reliability. Bosch fined $57.8 million by DOJ for price fixing and bid rigging
Tue, Mar 31 2015The US Department of Justice has been investigating bid rigging and price fixing among automotive parts suppliers for years, and so far the agency has leveled nearly $2.5 billion in fines against 34 companies. The latest business to be caught in this ongoing crackdown is Germany's Robert Bosch GmbH (Bosch), the world's largest independent auto component maker, and it agrees to pay a $57.8 million criminal fine to the Feds. According to the DOJ, Bosch has agreed to plead guilty to pricing fixing and bid rigging for spark plugs and oxygen sensors supplied to the former DaimlerChrysler, Ford and General Motors. The rigging is said to have occurred between January 2000 and July 2011. Bosch also allegedly played foul with starter motors sold to Volkswagen from January 2009 until at least June 2010. Bosch and other companies allegedly conspired on the pricing for bids to submit to automakers, and sold the parts at noncompetitive prices. The DOJ filed a one-count felony charge in US District Court for these actions. The company's plea is still subject to court approval, though. Bosch is only the third European company to be charged in this investigation, according to the DOJ. So far, many of the fined businesses have been from Japan, including Takata, NGK and others. Some execs have claimed price-fixing has been the standard operating procedure in the auto parts industry for a long time. Robert Bosch GmbH Agrees to Plead Guilty to Price Fixing and Bid Rigging on Automobile Parts Installed in U.S. Cars Robert Bosch GmbH, the world's largest independent parts supplier to the automotive industry, based in Gerlingen, Germany, has agreed to plead guilty and to pay a $57.8 million criminal fine for its role in a conspiracy to fix prices and rig bids for spark plugs, oxygen sensors and starter motors sold to automobile and internal combustion engine manufacturers in the United States and elsewhere, the Department of Justice announced today. According to the one-count felony charge filed today in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan, Bosch conspired to allocate the supply of, rig bids for, and to fix, stabilize and maintain the prices of, spark plugs and oxygen sensors sold to automobile and internal combustion engine manufacturers such as DaimlerChrysler AG, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Company and Andreas Stihl AG & Co., among others, in the United States and elsewhere.
Ford Explorer Jackson Pollock Edition results in trip to hospital
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Among the many useful pieces of driving advice we've taken to heart over the years, "Safely secure all cargo" is etched pretty high on our personal stone tablets. We've had a couple of frustrating moments over the years (numerous wonky cupholders and too-tall lidded cups; a radar detector that released its suction cups and dashed itself below the dashboard, etc.), but never anything like the scene above.
These photos above come courtesy of the Washington State Patrol, and they show the unfortunate aftermath of a driver, his dog, and his Ford Explorer after it crashed near the town of Belfair last week. According to reports, the man was schlepping five-gallon containers of paint inside his vehicle when he was involved in an unexplained accident. It's not clear what triggered the crash, but the impromptu abstract painting covered the whole of the interior, including the driver and his faithful companion.
The man was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, and his dog was cleaned and later taken to a humane society.
