Mechanically- Z5 Axle ratio drives very smoothly. Just serviced with new oil change, rear end fluid is clean, new air filter, A/C is ice cold, heat blows hot. This vehicle is smooth and quiet with no issues. Vehicle has (4) matching Goodyear Ultragrip tires 235/55/17 tires. Front and rear brakes are in good condition. All lights work, power door locks and windows work. Transmission shifts nice and smooth and engine operates as it should. There are no leaks of any kind and this vehicle is ready for its new home. Vehicle drives just like new. Exterior-is nice and clean. This vehicle Never had any exterior lights or push bumper. Paint is nice and shiny. Some chips on the hood from being in services. Interior-Interior has is nice and clean with factory carpet. There are some holes on the dash trim from equipment and seats and carpet are very clean with very minimal wear. Jay Leno is far beyond driven in his 1971 Pantera
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Perhaps it's fitting that the band Pantera is known for its heavy metal music, because the DeTomaso Pantera is the automotive equivalent of a metal album. It's short, aggressive and makes a mean sound. It doesn't mess around either, with a Ford 351-cubic-inch (5.75-liter) V8 sending mountains of torque to the rear wheels. This week, Jay Leno takes us on a detailed tour of his '71 to show why it rocks.
There's a regular format to Jay Leno's Garage. It starts with Jay and maybe a guest taking a look at the car and talking about its history, and then they take it out on the open road. However, this video is practically a Pantera buyer's guide. Jay is adamant from the start that the last thing anyone should own is a stock example. To remedy this, he and his guest, the editor of the Pantera Club magazine, take viewers to school about some of the ways to turn them into even better performance machines.
No matter what you do to it, though, the Pantera requires that the driver adapt to it, not the other way around. For example, Jay isn't a big guy by most standards, but he has to cram himself into the cockpit with his shoes off and shirt partially unbuttoned just to go for a drive. Ford Mustang challenges Lamborghini in amazing drift battle
Fri, Dec 18 2015Engines scream and tires billow with smoke as Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Daigo Saito stage a drift battle through an abandoned Japanese resort that looks like a Russian village in this stunning clip. The high-performance ballet of these amazing machines sliding around makes this one of the best videos of the year. To fight this duel, Gittin straps into his 550-horsepower Ford Mustang, and Saito meets the pony car's challenge with a drift-prepped Lamborghini Murcielago. The drivers hit a curving road and show expert car control as the men slide these very different vehicles just inches from each other. Eventually, night descends, and they add some fire to the scene to give the stunts a more apocalyptic look. The production values for this short clip are phenomenal, and the editing makes the viewer feel right in the middle of the action.
