Peoria, Arizona, United States
2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with Rare "Appearance Package" Great condition with only 107,XXX original miles. This is a detectives unit, not an officer shared patrol car. Runs and Drives like New, Everything Works, Missing Nothing, NOT a repaint. Original black paint / black seats / black carpet (triple black) interior with chrome accents. A VERY SHARP COMBINATION! Only a few minor scratches on the trunk lid from normal wear. Very Rare to find front cloth split bench seats with arm rests, Power Seat, Cruise Control, double trunk releases, electric adjustable peddles, "Parrot" hands free cell phone blue tooth system. A fantastic option I will never do without again! Retractable front window shades. Original matching rear cloth seats. Alarm system with remote door and trunk releases. Ford Factory upgraded stereo/cd changer. All seat belts, buckles, and locks are in place. All (4) windows and doors are fully operational. Police RSA tires are in excellent condition with a new full size RSA spare tire and factory spare kit. Exterior chrome accents and chrome front grill (black grill on hand and available if wanted in place of chrome). Clear Headlights. It's all there and it all works. VERY CLEAN CVPI DETECTIVES UNIT. You will see, feel, and appreciate this car immediately. CVPI's are notorious for being fast and strong but this police interceptor is also as comfortable as the civilian models.
CLEAN CLEAR TITLE IN HAND - NO ACCIDENTS - READY FOR WORK or as a DAILY DRIVER- This was my personal car. THIS CAR NEEDS NOTHING. I have taken her to Vegas twice sense retirement. They were very smooth and comfortable drives with no tickets as I cruised past Highway Patrol. You will have no surprises driving this car. |

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.

Ford EcoBoost successful because of Soviet laser weapons system expert?
Sun, 28 Jul 2013Mike Kluzner is a man of many talents. Not only is he the software engineer responsible for fuel system diagnostics for Ford globally, he "got his start designing laser weapon systems capable of disabling the navigation systems of enemy satellites" for the former Soviet Union. Quite a résumé, wouldn't you say?
You may be asking yourself the same question that popped into our minds upon reading about Mr. Kluzner: What do laser weapon systems have to do with Ford and its EcoBoost engines? We'll let the man answer himself. "The same process for analyzing key physical relationships works for what we do today in engine combustion, catalyst chemistry and mechanics," says Kluzner. "These are all part of Ford's software engineering expertise." Who are we to argue?
Ford also employs an engineer who previously designed software to detect damage to the heat tiles on the International Space Station, as well as one who's past work involved particle physics, says the automaker in the press release below. David Bell (pictured above right), global boost system controls engineer for Ford, describes the software running EcoBoost as "the secret sauce" that makes the technology work as the driver intends and demands.
Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
