2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, Unmarked, Low Miles, Loaded, Mint! on 2040-cars
Canal Winchester, Ohio, United States
|
This is one of the nicest examples of it's kind available anywhere, it is as close to new as you will find and still under factory warranty. This is a gorgeous, always unmarked United States Federal Government unit that is just out of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This car is absolutely as spotless underneath as it is on top. It is finished in Vibrant White Clearcoat Metallic, one of the most beautiful and classic colors available on the Crown Victoria. If you are searching for the ultimate Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, here you go...
You are viewing an absolutely beautiful, very low-mileage, low idle hours, always unmarked, loaded 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the coveted "Street Appearance Package". Recently out of service from United States Federal Government, Federal Bureau of Investigation in Virginia, where it was assigned to one agent for it's entire life, with only 14,749 actual, documented miles on it. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car in a classic and desirable color. The original finish is absolutely beautiful and this vehicle has an absolutely spotless Carfax report. It has never been involved in any accidents and has never had any paintwork or damage repaired. This unit has never had a light bar or decals installed anywhere. It has never been in regular police service. This unit includes all of the options you would expect...traction control, power heated mirrors, power trunk release, power adjustable pedals, factory auxiliary police dome lamp, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, optional side airbags, cruise control, power cloth front and rear velour split-bench seating w/dual fold-down center armrests and a heavy-duty, 8.8" 3.27 ratio rear differential. These items, of course, are just the beginning of the list of equipment on this car. In my years of buying and selling police vehicles, I have had very few cars that come close to the condition of these units, they are extremely well maintained, actually over-maintained, and typically need no repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one federal agent throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, looks as close to new as you will find and has virtually zero wear on the interior, even on the seating. The rear seat appears to have never been used. All of the factory manuals are included with the vehicle, and are in place in the glove box. There are ZERO holes in this car from any antennas, etc. The trunk compartment is extremely clean, and the original, brand-new, never used full size spare tire is in place. This unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor" package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive heavy-duty transmission, heavy-duty 3.27 rear differential, lateral bow (roof) reinforcement, Good Year Eagle RS-A 235-55-17 police-spec, ultra-high performance radials that are in excellent condition and mounted on the factory, heavy-duty, 17" vented police wheels with full, factory deluxe wheel covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe, police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, factory-installed 6" Unity driver's side spotlight, special police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty suspension, heavy-duty cooling, certified 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, idle hour meter and much, much more. For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you are probably already aware that the 2004-2011 models are the years to have...2004 was the first year for the higher-horsepower engine. All Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved, 250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance.
Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for one of the nicest you will find in a rare and desirable color combination with ultra-low mileage and ultra-low idle hours. These are the Crown Victorias aficionados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast. This unit is in excellent overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used police vehicle. This vehicle, as most used police vehicles do, will have imperfections...this typically includes; scratches, chips, nicks, dings, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives excellent. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles. This 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction, providing the low reserve is met. Please complete all inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the vehicle. I am a law-enforcement officer as well and as such, work long hours so you are free to call me as late in the evening as you like. I can be reached anytime at (614) 893-3857. I will take calls 24/7 up until the end of the auction. |

Watch divers pull 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1, Mazda RX-7 from a river
Thu, Apr 2 2020It’s like the ultimate barn find, only swap out the relatively ideal dry confines of a barn for a watery grave. Adventures with Purpose, a YouTube channel devoted to the exploits of a group of divers in Oregon that specializes in pulling submerged cars from the water, recently found six vehicles in the Tualatin River, near Portland. The most notable finds? A 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 fastback and a Mazda RX-7 sports car, plus a Chevrolet LUV pickup, which is not shown being pulled from the water. As you might expect, neither are exactly in top condition, with the badly rusted Mustang basically disintegrating into scrap pieces as itÂ’s pulled onto a flatbed truck parked on a boat ramp. The RX-7, meanwhile, is caked with mud, its windshield and roof crumpled, but itÂ’s basically intact. A hat tip goes to CarBuzz for spotting the videos. The divers use inflatable salvage bags to help raise the vehicles. They removed the MustangÂ’s rusted and encrusted V8 first — the '73 model came with either 302 or 351 engines — and had to pause to remove some of the thick mud that had built up inside the car. Other things they found from both pulls include an old sledgehammer, a stop sign and a rusted Washington state license plate. This content is hosted by a third party. The whole Mach 1 salvage operation took two days. “A lot of you are going to be a bit upset at how destroyed the Mustang Mach 1 became after we tried removing it from the river,” the team wrote in its description. “In our defense, there was an extra 8,000 pounds of mud inside the car, along with the Mustang being underwater in the river for over 40 years.” The Adventures with Purpose team says it has recovered 326 cars, six guns, two bodies and a tractor, among things. 2015 Ford Mustang earns Five Stars from NHTSA [w/video]
Fri, Feb 13 2015We already know that the latest Ford Mustang is a pretty potent pony car in terms of its performance potential, but according to the government, it's a safe choice too. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently released its New Car Assessment Program crash test results for the 2015 'Stang coupe, and it came away with top five-star overall ratings in every evaluation. The Mustang received a five-star overall score and five stars for its frontal, side and rollover ratings. The only minor ding was a four-star result just for the backseat in a side barrier crash. According to NHTSA, "Although not included in the star rating, the rear passenger's thoracic rib deflection was elevated." You can check out the full NCAP evaluation, here. According to Ford, the latest Mustang has twice as many airbags and crash sensors as the outgoing model. NHTSA also likes that the pony car offers a rearview camera and forward collision warning – two of the technologies that the agency recommends buyers getting for added safety. Watch the car crash in the video below. 2015 MUSTANG EARNS HIGHEST VEHICLE SAFETY RATING FROM NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awards the all-new 2015 Mustang a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in its New Car Assessment Program All-new Mustang has twice as many airbags, twice as many peripheral crash sensors and additional pretensioning safety belt technology compared to the outgoing model The new Mustang is the first car to offer four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines that each produce at least 300 horsepower – a 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, a more powerful 435-horsepower 5.0-liter V8, and an all-new 310-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 11, 2015 – The 2015 Ford Mustang received a top safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The 2015 Mustang earned a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in NHTSA's New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) testing. The New Car Assessment Program is the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's evaluation program for new vehicle designs established to test for performance against safety threats. Now on sale at Ford dealers, the all-new 2015 Mustang received five stars in the frontal crash test, five stars in the side crash test and five stars in the rollover crash test. "The new Mustang was built from the ground up," said Carl Widmann, Mustang chief engineer.
GM also sheds parts from its pickups to boost payload ratings
Thu, 31 Jul 2014The row between Ford and Ram over who boasts the best-in-class tow rating for heavy duty pickups has revealed a number of things. Chief among them is a report that Ford removes items like the spare tire, jack, radio and center console from its vehicles in a bid to lower its base curb weight and therefore keep the truck's gross vehicle weight rating down.
For those that need a refresher, GVWR is the vehicle's curb weight plus its maximum payload. A lower GVWR allows Ford to station its F-450 among the so-called Class III pickups, despite the fact that internally, it has the makings of a more brutish Class IV truck.
Ford explains away these deletions, saying a customer could order their vehicle in such a manner. It has also come to light that Ford is not the only automaker to engage in such practices.
