2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, Unmarked, 33k Miles!!! 118 Hours!!! on 2040-cars
Canal Winchester, Ohio, United States
This
is one of the nicest examples of it's kind available anywhere, perhaps
one of the nicest ones left in the world. This is a beautiful, dry, western car
that is absolutely as nice underneath as it is on top. It is finished in Arizona Beige Clearcoat Metallic, one of the most highly sought after and hard to find colors
available on the Crown Victoria. If you are searching for the ultimate
Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, here you go...
You are viewing a very low-mileage, extremely low idle hours, always unmarked, loaded 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It just came out of service with the United States Federal Government, in the western U.S., where it was assigned to one agent for it's entire life...and with only 33,659 actual, documented miles and 118 idle hours on it. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car in the most "in-demand" color. The finish is excellent and this vehicle has an absolutely
spotless Carfax and AutoCheck report. It has never been involved in any
accidents. It is in beautiful condition in every regard. This unit has never had decals or antennas installed anywhere. It has no holes
drilled anywhere and has never been in regular police service. This unit is loaded with options, including all of the things you would expect...power heated mirrors, power windows, power locks, power trunk release, daytime running lights, factory auxiliary police dome lamp, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, driver and passenger side airbags, cruise control, cloth front bucket seats, and a 3.27 ratio rear differential w/Traction-Lok (limited-slip) rear differential (code X5). These items, of course, are just the beginning of the list of equipment on this car. In my
years of buying and selling police vehicles, I have had very few cars
that come close to the condition of these units, they are extremely well
maintained, actually over-maintained, and typically need no
repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one federal agent
throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that
makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars
are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, looks as close
to new as you will find and has zero wear on the interior, even on the
seating. The rear seat appears to have never been used. The trunk compartment is like new, extremely clean, and the original, brand-new full size spare tire is in place. This
unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor"
package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive
heavy-duty transmission, 3.27 ratio rear axle w/ Traction-Lok differential,
lateral bow (roof) reinforcement, Good Year Eagle RS-A 235-55-17
police-spec, ultra-high performance radials mounted on the factory,
heavy-duty, 17" vented police wheels with full, factory deluxe wheel
covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe,
police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, special
police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty
suspension, heavy-duty cooling, lamp pre-wire group, 2-way radio pre-wire, certified 140-mph
speedometer, tachometer, idle hour meter and much, much more. For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you are probably already aware that the 2004-2011 models are the years to have...2004 was the first year for the higher-horsepower engine. All
Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved,
250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias
produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake
system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but
the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250
horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup.
This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox
(raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm
(3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This
allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances
of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the
throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise,
vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the
throttle body with minimal flow resistance. In
addition, 2008 was the first year that the Crown Victorias became "flex
fuel capable", meaning they will run on either regular gasoline or E85
ethanol blend. The advantage of this is a much improved fuel system with
premium quality lines, fittings and seals that will outlast the
traditional fuel systems by many years...a big improvement over earlier
models. Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for one of the nicest you will find in a rare and desirable color combination with ultra-low mileage and ultra-low idle hours. This unit is gorgeous inside and out and is clean under the hood as well...the engine compartment is very nice (please see the pictures). I do not slather motors with Armor All to make them appear nicer, or newer, than they are. The picture of this engine compartment is exactly as it was when the car was purchased...extremely clean. These are the Crown Victorias aficionados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast. This
unit is in absolutely gorgeous condition overall condition, has been
very well-maintained and has little to none of the normal wear and tear
you would expect to find on a used police vehicle. This vehicle, as most
used police vehicles do, may have imperfections...this typically includes; scratches, chips, nicks, minute small
dings, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects
and it runs and drives as close to new as we have ever seen. Please,
keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but
they are still used vehicles. This 2010 Ford
Crown Victoria Police Interceptor will sell to the high bidder at the
end of the auction, providing the reserve is met. Please complete all
inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the
vehicle. Winning bidder agrees to forward a 25% partial payment (unless a lesser amount is agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction) at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store the vehicle for up to 90 days, until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for in full. I may be able to deliver this vehicle personally, depending on your location, at a reduced rate. I have been buying, selling and driving unique, specialty vehicles for over ten years now and take pride in offering only low-mileage vehicles that are not "run of the mill", beat-up cars and trucks. I specialize in the hard to obtain cars, SUV's and trucks, Dodge Hemi Charger, Ram 5.9 Cummins and Ford 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel trucks, Chevrolet Impala and Caprice 9C1 and 9C3 police vehicles, collectible and rare cars, trucks and vans. If there are any questions at all, again, please don't hesitate to call me at (614) 893-3857. I will answer all e-mails as quickly as possible. Thanks and good luck! Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. I hope everyone understands, and I thank our hundreds of happy customers, but a few bad apples have spoiled the proverbial bunch. Thanks for understanding. Please remember, this is a used government vehicle and, although it is as close to it as possible, it is not new. It is, however, in as close to "new" of condition as you will ever find. As such, it will have minute flaws consistent with the miles and age of the vehicle, and with government use. That being said, it is in beautiful shape and runs & looks perfect. It is not what you would typically expect, or what you will find elsewhere for sale. Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...or call me, as always, at 614-893-3857 or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks! |

A 1985 Ford Escort for $915,000? If it was owned by Princess Diana
Sun, Sep 3 2023What makes a used car worth more than the car itself? If it was owned by John Lennon. Or Muhammad Ali. Michael Schumacher, perhaps, or Stirling Moss. This year’s edition from the Hagerty organization of its “Power List” makes for amusing reading even if youÂ’re not on it. But you can make believe that you are. Essentially, the list, which was launched only last year, tracks the impact of celebrity ownership of a vehicle on its value, as measured by its worth at auction. Nearly 400 sales of celebrity cars and bikes have been analyzed from around the world by Hagerty using market data and “expert” analytics. Hagerty is aware, certainly, that famous folks — from royalty, sports, movies and music — grab gobs of attention from ordinary people. ThatÂ’s why the 2023 Power List comprises these categories: Art Cars, Racing Drivers, Movies and TV, Musicians, Royalty, Screen Stars, Sporting Icons. But you don't have to be a rock star or a F1 pilot to get listed: Princess Diana, besides an Escort Turbo RS that she owned between 1985 and 1988, numbered a convertible 1994 Audi 80 Cabriolet and a Jaguar XJS Cabriolet among her rides. HereÂ’s a look at some of the more notable entries: Racing driver category: In pole position was an unlikely titleholder, a 1976 Ford Bronco. This was the car bought new by legendary Canadian Formula 1 driver Gilles Villeneuve and untouched since his death; it sold at the Aguttes auction in Paris last December for $148,000, a huge 210% increase over the $47,800 that Hagerty would value a regular example in the same condition. Just a note: The list doesnÂ’t include race cars, only vehicles kept privately by the drivers. Musicians: A 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow had been Freddie MercuryÂ’s personal chauffeur-driven transport from 1979 until his death in 1991. Without celebrity ownership, Hagerty would value the Silver Shadow at a lowly $9,500, a car that would take a lot of time, effort and money to restore properly. But add in MercuryÂ’s aura and bids ended at $362,500. “ItÂ’s no surprise that MercuryÂ’s car dominated our Musicians list on the 2023 Hagerty Power List,” the company said. Movies and TV: For those readers now emerging from hibernation since 1968, the news is that the historic Highland Green Mustang from “Bullitt” remains at the top of the Power List for the second year running.

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle
Sun, Aug 21 2022The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world.
