This is one of the nicest examples of it's kind available anywhere, perhaps one of the nicest ones left in the world. This is a beautiful, dry, western car that is absolutely as nice underneath as it is on top. It is finished in Arizona Beige Clearcoat Metallic, one of the most highly sought after and hard to find colors available on the Crown Victoria. If you are searching for the ultimate Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, here you go...

You are viewing a very low-mileage, extremely low idle hours, always unmarked, loaded 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It just came out of service with the United States Federal Government, in the western U.S., where it was assigned to one agent for it's entire life...and with only 33,659 actual, documented miles and 118 idle hours on it. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car in the most "in-demand" color.

The finish is excellent and this vehicle has an absolutely spotless Carfax and AutoCheck report. It has never been involved in any accidents. It is in beautiful condition in every regard.

This unit has never had decals or antennas installed anywhere. It has no holes drilled anywhere and has never been in regular police service.

This unit is loaded with options, including all of the things you would expect...power heated mirrors, power windows, power locks, power trunk release, daytime running lights, factory auxiliary police dome lamp, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, driver and passenger side airbags, cruise control, cloth front bucket seats, and a 3.27 ratio rear differential w/Traction-Lok (limited-slip) rear differential (code X5). These items, of course, are just the beginning of the list of equipment on this car.

In my years of buying and selling police vehicles, I have had very few cars that come close to the condition of these units, they are extremely well maintained, actually over-maintained, and typically need no repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one federal agent throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, looks as close to new as you will find and has zero wear on the interior, even on the seating. The rear seat appears to have never been used.

It is finished in the factory Arizona Beige Clearcoat Metallic finish with Dark Charcoal (Black) interior. This is one of the most beautiful color combinations available on a Crown Victoria. With only 33,659 actual, original miles on it, the exterior is beautiful and, as stated, the interior shows zero wear. It has been extremely well-maintained and it runs, drives and handles as close to new as you will ever find. It has never been abused and it looks gorgeous inside, outside and underneath.

The trunk compartment is like new, extremely clean, and the original, brand-new full size spare tire is in place.

This unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor" package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive heavy-duty transmission, 3.27 ratio rear axle w/ Traction-Lok differential, lateral bow (roof) reinforcement, Good Year Eagle RS-A 235-55-17 police-spec, ultra-high performance radials mounted on the factory, heavy-duty, 17" vented police wheels with full, factory deluxe wheel covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe, police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, special police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty suspension, heavy-duty cooling, lamp pre-wire group, 2-way radio pre-wire, certified 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, idle hour meter and much, much more.

For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you are probably already aware that the 2004-2011 models are the years to have...2004 was the first year for the higher-horsepower engine.

All Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved, 250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance.

In addition, 2008 was the first year that the Crown Victorias became "flex fuel capable", meaning they will run on either regular gasoline or E85 ethanol blend. The advantage of this is a much improved fuel system with premium quality lines, fittings and seals that will outlast the traditional fuel systems by many years...a big improvement over earlier models.

Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for one of the nicest you will find in a rare and desirable color combination with ultra-low mileage and ultra-low idle hours.

This unit is gorgeous inside and out and is clean under the hood as well...the engine compartment is very nice (please see the pictures). I do not slather motors with Armor All to make them appear nicer, or newer, than they are. The picture of this engine compartment is exactly as it was when the car was purchased...extremely clean.

These are the Crown Victorias aficionados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast.

This is a factory, all Arizona Beige Metallic car, not a re-painted color change like you will see for sale elsewhere.

This unit is in absolutely gorgeous condition overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little to none of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used police vehicle. This vehicle, as most used police vehicles do, may have imperfections...this typically includes; scratches, chips, nicks, minute small dings, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives as close to new as we have ever seen. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles.

This car drives as close to new as you will ever find. It is a very nice driving, tight unit...not a beat-up police car. It has never been used for any type of normal police or patrol work.

DON'T PASS THIS ONE UP, 2010 MODELS ARE VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND AND I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER FOR SALE IN THE NEAR FUTURE WITH THIS LOW OF MILEAGE AND HOURS, AND IN THIS CONDITION, IF AT ALL.

This 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction, providing the reserve is met. Please complete all inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the vehicle.

Because of increasing expenses in every regard, we have been forced to raise our fees by $50, this is the first time in ten years that we have done this, so hopefully you will understand. There will be a $175 documentation fee and a $15 title fee added to each sale, these will be the ONLY additional fees you will be responsible for, unless you reside in the state of Ohio, in which case you will need to pay the proper amount of sales tax, based on the current rate for the county in which you reside. Temporary 30-day plate and registration is also available for $18.50. We do not charge any additional fees and there are no hidden charges. Most sellers are charging double this amount currently.

I welcome any and all questions you might have prior to bidding on this Crown Victoria. I do reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells locally prior to the end of auction (please call if you like).

I am a law-enforcement officer as well and as such, work long hours so you are free to call me as late in the evening as you like. I can be reached anytime at (614) 893-3857. I will take calls 24/7 up until the end of the auction.

Winning bidder agrees to forward a 25% partial payment (unless a lesser amount is agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction) at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store the vehicle for up to 90 days, until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for in full.

I may be able to deliver this vehicle personally, depending on your location, at a reduced rate.

I have been buying, selling and driving unique, specialty vehicles for over ten years now and take pride in offering only low-mileage vehicles that are not "run of the mill", beat-up cars and trucks. I specialize in the hard to obtain cars, SUV's and trucks, Dodge Hemi Charger, Ram 5.9 Cummins and Ford 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel trucks, Chevrolet Impala and Caprice 9C1 and 9C3 police vehicles, collectible and rare cars, trucks and vans. If there are any questions at all, again, please don't hesitate to call me at (614) 893-3857. I will answer all e-mails as quickly as possible. Thanks and good luck!

Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. I hope everyone understands, and I thank our hundreds of happy customers, but a few bad apples have spoiled the proverbial bunch. Thanks for understanding.

Please remember, this is a used government vehicle and, although it is as close to it as possible, it is not new. It is, however, in as close to "new" of condition as you will ever find. As such, it will have minute flaws consistent with the miles and age of the vehicle, and with government use. That being said, it is in beautiful shape and runs & looks perfect. It is not what you would typically expect, or what you will find elsewhere for sale. Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...or call me, as always, at 614-893-3857 or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks!

Trump threatens huge tax for Mexican-built Fords

Wed, Jun 17 2015

Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president on Tuesday. So what would be one of the first things he would do if elected? Tax the heck out of Ford. According to The Detroit News, Trump advocated instituting a specific tax against Ford products built in Mexico during a speech in New York. Rather than incentivize US production, the outspoken billionaire's proposal would penalize Mexican-built Ford vehicles and parts by 35 percent upon purchase. That would ostensibly raise the base price of a Mexican-built Ford Fiesta from $13,965 to over $18,800, and a Lincoln MKZ from $35,190 to over $47k. He apparently made no mention of applying the same or a similar penalty to other vehicles or products imported across the border, or from other countries, raising serious questions about the legality and feasibility of instituting and enforcing the proposed measure. Trump's remarks arrived against the backdrop of a shift in automobile production from the United States into Mexico – and specifically Ford's recent announcement that it was investing $2.5 billion and creating 3,800 jobs for its Mexican operations. Of course the Blue Oval isn't the only automaker shifting production across the border and still invests heavily in its US operations. "We are proud that we have invested $6.2 billion in our U.S. plants since 2011 and hired nearly 25,000 U.S. employees," Ford spokesperson Christin Baker told The Detroit News. "Overall, 80 percent of our North American investment annually is in the U.S., and 97 percent of our North American engineering is conducted in the U.S." Though Trump has generally stood against over-taxation, he's been a staunch critic of free trade agreements like NAFTA that shift American jobs overseas. Fortunately for Ford, though, America's combover-in-chief stands about as much chance of being elected to the White House as Dearborn stands of reviving Mercury or Edsel. Related Video:

How privacy fears are driving automakers in the age of the connected car [w/poll]

Wed, Aug 27 2014

A recent GAO report concluded car companies don't adequately disclose how and why they share location data. As cars collect and store more and more data about the whereabouts of their drivers, automakers are responding to critics who say they should be more transparent about how those details are used. Ford is hiring a global privacy policy attorney to craft the company's customer privacy policies in the era of connected and autonomous cars. "In this emerging space, there is an important need to address customer privacy policies," reads a job description posted on the "people and careers" portion of the company's website. "As part of our compliance and ethics organization at Ford, this person will have an immediate and direct impact in shaping existing and future policy and corporate thinking in this area." Ford is creating the new position, based at its Dearborn headquarters, at a time technology advances are outpacing privacy protections. Earlier this year, a report from the federal government concluded car companies don't adequately disclose to motorists how and why they share location data. That report, from the Government Accountability Office, found many car companies did not describe how they shared location data, did not allow consumers to request their data be deleted and that there was a "wide variation" in how car companies retained vehicle-specific or identifiable location data. It noted there is increased risk of location data being used in ways "consumers did not intend." Ford was one of 10 companies the GAO surveyed while compiling its report. Customers are opting to share that data largely by using features like maps and turn-by-turn direction that are run by a vehicle's telematics unit. Depending on the company, it can be unclear how that data is collected, retained or shared. At the time the GAO report was issued, AAA, the nation's largest motoring club, urged carmakers to be more transparent in how they handle data and to offer stronger security protections. Shaping Autonomous Car Regulations At Ford, the new hire could change how the company handles that data. According to the job description, the successful applicant will, "demonstrate visionary thinking around privacy strategy – imagine how consumer and employee expectations around privacy may evolve and how business should adapt, develop approaches that maximize the benefit of data sharing for consumers and business, etc." (Emphasis from Ford).
