2009 Ford Crown Victoria Unmarked Police Interceptor Low Mileage, 69 Idle Hours! on 2040-cars

Year:2009 Mileage:22367 Color: is very nice and the interior shows nearly zero wear
Location:

Canal Winchester, Ohio, United States

Canal Winchester, Ohio, United States

This is one of the nicest examples of it's kind available anywhere. This is a beautiful car that is absolutely as nice underneath as it is on top. It is finished in Vibrant White Clearcoat Metallic, one of the most desirable colors available on the Crown Victoria. If you are searching for the ultimate Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, here you go...

You are viewing a very low-mileage, extremely low idle hours, always unmarked, loaded 2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the coveted "Street Appearance Package". Recently out of service from United States Federal Government, Federal Bureau of Investigation, where it was assigned to one agent for it's entire life, with only 22,367 actual, documented miles and 69 idle hours on it. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car in the most "in-demand" color.

The original finish is excellent and this vehicle has an absolutely spotless Carfax report. It has never been involved in any accidents and has never had any paintwork or damage repaired.

This unit has never had a spotlight, light bar, decals or antennas installed anywhere. It has never been in regular police service.

This unit includes all of the options you would expect...power mirrors, power adjustable pedals, daytime running lights, factory auxiliary police dome lamp, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, driver and passenger side airbags, cruise control, velour cloth split-bench front seating with dual fold-down center armrests and velour cloth rear bench seat, and a 3.27 ratio rear differential. These items, of course, are just the beginning of the list of equipment on this car.

In my years of buying and selling police vehicles, I have had very few cars that come close to the condition of these units, they are extremely well maintained, actually over-maintained, and typically need no repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one federal agent throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, looks as close to new as you will find and has virtually zero wear on the interior, even on the seating. The rear seat appears to have never been used.

It is finished in the factory Vibrant White Clearcoat Metallic finish with Dark Charcoal interior. This is one of the most beautiful colors available on a Crown Victoria. With only 22,367 actual, original miles on it, the exterior is very nice and the interior shows nearly zero wear. It has been extremely well-maintained and it runs, drives and handles as close to new as you will ever find. It has never been abused and it looks gorgeous.

All of the factory manuals are included with the vehicle, and are in place in the glove box.

The trunk compartment is extremely clean, and the original, brand-new, unused full size spare tire is in place.

This unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor" package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive heavy-duty transmission, 3.27 rear axle, lateral bow (roof) reinforcement, Good Year Eagle RS-A 235-55-17 police-spec, ultra-high performance radials mounted on the factory, heavy-duty, 17" vented police wheels with full, factory deluxe wheel covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe, police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, special police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty suspension, heavy-duty cooling, lamp pre-wire group, certified 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, idle hour meter and much, much more.

For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you are probably already aware that the 2004-2011 models are the years to have...2004 was the first year for the higher-horsepower engine.

All Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved, 250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance.

Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for one of the nicest you will find in a rare and desirable color combination with ultra-low mileage and ultra-low idle hours.

This unit is gorgeous inside and out and is clean under the hood as well...the engine compartment is very nice (please see the pictures). I do not slather motors with Armor All to make them appear nicer, or newer, than they are. The picture of this engine compartment is exactly as it was when the car was purchased...extremely clean.

These are the Crown Victorias aficionados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast.

This is a factory, all Vibrant White Metallic car, not a re-painted color change like you will see for sale elsewhere.

This unit is in excellent overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used police vehicle. This vehicle, as most used police vehicles do, will have imperfections...this typically includes; scratches, chips, nicks, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives excellent. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles.

This car drives as close to new as you will ever find. It is a very nice driving, tight unit...not a beat-up police car. It has never been used for any type of normal police or patrol work.

DON'T PASS THIS ONE UP, 2009 MODELS ARE VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND AND I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER FOR SALE IN THE NEAR FUTURE WITH THIS LOW OF MILEAGE AND HOURS, IF AT ALL.

This 2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction, providing the reserve is met. Please complete all inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the vehicle.

Because of increasing expenses in every regard, we have been forced to raise our fees by $50, this is the first time in ten years that we have done this, so hopefully you will understand. There will be a $175 documentation fee and a $15 title fee added to each sale, these will be the ONLY additional fees you will be responsible for, unless you reside in the state of Ohio, in which case you will need to pay the proper amount of sales tax, based on the current rate for the county in which you reside. Temporary 30-day plate and registration is also available for $18.50. We do not charge any additional fees and there are no hidden charges. Most sellers are charging double this amount currently.

I welcome any and all questions you might have prior to bidding on this Crown Victoria. I do reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells locally prior to the end of auction (please call if you like).

I am a law-enforcement officer as well and as such, work long hours so you are free to call me as late in the evening as you like. I can be reached anytime at (614) 893-3857. I will take calls 24/7 up until the end of the auction.

Winning bidder agrees to forward a 25% partial payment (unless a lesser amount is agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction) at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store the vehicle for up to 90 days, until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for in full.

I may be able to deliver this vehicle personally, depending on your location, at a reduced rate.

I have been buying, selling and driving unique, specialty vehicles for over ten years now and take pride in offering only low-mileage vehicles that are not "run of the mill", beat-up cars and trucks. I specialize in the hard to obtain cars, SUV's and trucks, Dodge Hemi Charger, Ram 5.9 Cummins and Ford 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel trucks, Chevrolet Impala and Caprice 9C1 and 9C3 police vehicles, collectible and rare cars, trucks and vans. If there are any questions at all, again, please don't hesitate to call me at (614) 893-3857. I will answer all e-mails as quickly as possible. Thanks and good luck!

Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. I hope everyone understands, and I thank our hundreds of happy customers, but a few bad apples have spoiled the proverbial bunch. Thanks for understanding.

Please remember, this is a used government vehicle and, although it is as close to it as possible, it is not new. It is, however, in better condition than most you will see. As such, it will have minor flaws consistent with the miles and age of the vehicle, and with government use. That being said, it is in beautiful shape and runs & looks excellent. It is not what you would typically expect, or what you will find elsewhere for sale. Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...or call me, as always, at 614-893-3857 or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks!

Performance cars overpower the Detroit Auto Show

Tue, Jan 13 2015

At precisely the stroke of noon on Monday, the 2016 Acura NSX rolled on stage at the Detroit Auto Show amid plumes of smoke and dancing lights. The sounds of the powerful engine revving soared to the rafters. It was the second coming of Acura's iconic sports car, and the reveal had all of the expected trappings. Afterwards, champagne corks popped and the bubbly flowed. It was noon in Detroit, but for the green-car movement, it seemed like the clock had struck midnight. That's an exaggeration, but performance was the overwhelming theme of North America's most important show. Ford – which has helped lead the way in smaller displacement engines and early adoption of hybrid powertrains – had more than 1,500 horsepower on stage one point after it revealed the GT concept, the new F-150 Raptor and the Shelby Mustang GT350R. The NSX is technically a hybrid (it has three electric motors), but with 550-plus hp, there's no doubt this Acura was bred on the track. The theme continued throughout the show at nearly every stand. Alfa Romeo showed off the 4C Spider, which is the open-air version of a car that purports to be the spiritual successor of the high-performance 33 Stradale from 1967. On Tuesday, Cadillac is scheduled to reveal the 640-hp CTS-V with the V8 transplanted from the Corvette Z06, and the Lexus was expected to roll out its own V8-powered beast, the 467-hp GS F. For enthusiasts – especially enthusiasts with money – these are halcyon days. But make no mistake, all of this power has a purpose. Ford product chief Raj Nair said the Blue Oval uses high performance cars to develop technologies, like aerodynamics and materials, which are then shared across its lineup. "It's another proof point about how serious we are in developing innovation through performance," he said. Ford, which is rolling out at least 12 performance cars by 2020, said the sporty cars attract younger and more influential buyers to its fold, which can help burnish its image beyond adding sales volume. Toyota is taking a similar approach, senior vice president Bob Carter said, noting the Lexus RC coupe draws people into showrooms and gets them excited about the brand, even if they don't end up buying one. "They provide an aspiration and a halo that provides the attention that gets you noticed in a cluttered market," he said.

How that awesome Mustang R/C car chase vid was made

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

We've reported on a few R/C car chase videos in the past. One in particular that stands out as a favorite is Zach King's "The Cliché RC Action Chase." It featured a pair of Ford Mustang coupes racing through a cardboard city, plowing into outdoor patios and busting through construction zones. It was wonderfully creative and fun to watch, yet we know there was more to its creation than a bunch of guys fooling around with a camera one afternoon.
Turns out we were right, as evidenced by this video produced by Ford that takes us behind the scenes of Zach's creation. The young filmmaker explains why he chose the Mustang to star in his video, as well as how the cardboard sets were created, what equipment they used for shooting and what it was like when his video went viral. Ford found the young filmmaker and produced the followup as part of its Mustang Countdown video series, which will see a new video about the Mustang culture released every week until the original muscle car's anniversary on April 17, 2014.
Want to make an RC chase video of your own? Yeah, we do too. Watch the behind-the-scenes video below (you can refresh yourself on the mini feature film, too) before you get started.
