2008 Vrown Vic Nyc Cab Low Mileage No Reserve on 2040-cars
Bethpage, New York, United States
Up for sale is my 2008 Promotional Cab Vehicle that has served me well for over a year but our promotional team has opted to go for a larger wrapped vehicle and that is why it is being sold here with No Reserve to the highest bidder. This car only has 68,000 original mileage and this car was impeccably maintained by the original owner and myself the second owner. When we bought the car we only put around 2,000 miles on it in a year as we were only doing promotional vehicle promotions for a local party planning company on the roof advertising bubble that will not be provided for in the auction. The car was used by a medallion owner at its onset, and was used very sparingly as this was a back up vehicle for the owner and he has since retired and sold the medallion. The car runs and shifts great, and we have personally changed all the fluids, and done all tune-ups necessary to make this vehicle run fabulous. The tires are Police Pursuit Goodyear's and only have 1000 miles on them so they are next to new. We have also installed two new oxygen sensors and no service engine lights are on and the car has a brand new battery with warranty and a brand new alternator. The body has some minor abrasions throughout but no dents and the interior is basically solid with no rips or tears. The rear bumper has a crash guard to ensure safety from impact in the rear and is a very valuable tool in protecting cargo, body and passengers, This is alone a $1000.00 additional accessory. The interior has a taxi divider and a/c and heat in the rear and an extended wheel base that makes the vehicle about 2 feet longer than the regular crown vic. The climate controls all work and the heat and ac is blowing hot and cold respectively to factory specifications. The steering and suspension and braking are all excellent and road worthy. Occasionally when the vehicle sits for a while the car needs to be boosted. Our mechanic has said there is a slow drain on the batter caused by a defective ECM easily replaceable on ebay for about $50.00- $75.00. This vehicle is being sold as is where is, and represents an excellent vale for a work horse vehicle, with LOW MILEAGE. All vehicle deposits submitted are not returnable and the deposit must be paid via PayPal according to the schedule under payments. You can call or text me anytime to find out any other details you may need about this unique strong Crown Vic. Happy Bidding. Al. 516-473-8399.

Toyota hangs on to title of world's largest automaker for first half of 2013
Fri, 26 Jul 2013General Motors and Ford can have all the success they please, but it doesn't seem like America's two largest manufacturers are going to topple Toyota in the first half of 2013. According to Reuters, Toyota moved 4.91 million vehicles in the first six months of 2013, representing a 1.1-percent drop from the same period in 2012.
GM is on the rise, though, with a four-percent increase in global sales, to 4.85 million. Volkswagen, still sitting in third, saw a 5.5-percent jump to 4.7 million vehicles in the first half of 2013.
If this pace continues for Toyota, it'll finish 2013 in the top sales spot for the second year in a row. The manufacturer fell to third, behind GM and VW, in 2011 after earthquakes and tsunamis ravaged its production capacity.
Ford rakes in record $2.5b profit during Q1 of 2016
Thu, Apr 28 2016Fears that the auto industry is due for a downturn may be fading. Ford posted record profits in the first quarter of 2016, the company announced Thursday. Chief financial officer Bob Shanks said Ford enjoyed its best quarterly performance in history, generating operating profits of $3.8 billion and a record profit margin of 9.8 percent. Overall, the company's $2.5 billion profit in the quarter more than doubled from the 2015 quarterly results. "The first quarter was an absolutely terrific start to the year, an all-time record for the company, with very strong performance across the business," said chief executive officer Mark Fields. "We're excited about our future and confident in our ability to deliver long-term growth and profitability as we expand our business model to be both an auto and a mobility company." During the quarter, Ford announced the creation of Ford Smart Mobility, a new subsidiary that would vet future mobility projects in the realm of car-sharing, fractional ownership and autonomous deployment. The company also kicked off a billion-dollar makeover of its Dearborn, Michigan campus and headquarters. The company's after-tax earnings of $0.68 per share trumped Wall Street's expectations, and were significantly up from $0.39 per share a year ago. The results were buoyed by the company's fourth consecutive quarter of growth in Europe, which comes after a long period of stagnant sales. Ford's earnings results come amid reports that April car sales are on pace to jump 4 percent year over year, which would make it the best-selling April in history. Kelley Blue Book projects that car sales will reach 1.51 million this month, placing the industry on track for 17.5 million vehicles sold in 2016. Even as SUV and crossover sales drive the market, analysts say Nissan and Honda are positioned to benefit from renewed interest in mid-size cars. "Following a disappointing March, we expect sales to get back on track in April with SAAR in the mid-17 million range," said Tim Fleming, analyst for Kelley Blue Book. "Increased fleet sales and rising incentive spending among automakers remain the factors to watch, but the retail demand appears to be holding steady, signaling the industry's strong run isn't over quite yet." Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70
Sun, 20 Jul 2014We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
