It was not a pursuit vehicle. There was a cage in the rear that has been removed but there is a slight shadow in the headliner from where the cage was. This vehicle has never been driven on salted roads. NO RUST. The interior is black cloth with a black vinyl floor. It's in excellent shape. The power windows, power door locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, CD stereo, rear heated glass, power heated side view mirrors, power lumbar support, and power trunk release all work as they should. The 4.6 liter 250 horsepower police interceptor motor has awesome power and starts and runs great. The automatic transmission shifts crisp and smooth. The car has the X5 limited slip rear end. Lots of power. This car is fast. The brakes have been inspected and are in good shape. We will include a full size spare and jack kit with the sale. The suspension is good and the car handles very well. It has the factory issue Goodyear RSA tires and they are in good shape. The body is in good shape with only minor nicks and scratches. Ford debuts Fusion NASCAR racer that edges closer to stock [w/video]

The sixth-generation NASCAR Sprint Cup racecar, which will make its competition debut at the 2013 Daytona 500 this weekend, marks the closest thing to a "stock car" that the sport has seen in more than 20 years. No longer using just stickers to distinguish the different brands, the image above shows the lengths NASCAR and automakers went in order to create a racecar design that more closely resembles the individual cars they represent.
Ford, one of the more open and vocal OEMs regarding the Gen6 car's development, is giving us a closer look at its racing version of the Fusion with a pretty revealing side-by-side comparison with last years' racer (click above for an expanded view). Aside from the more realistic front end and production-like body lines, the overall shape, dimensions and proportions have also been designed to give the racecar a more stock appearance. Most of the new racer was designed by the Ford Design Center, which the automaker says was the first time it has been so involved in the design process since the 1960s. Of course, one area the Sprint Cup Fusion really differs from the production Fusion is its Ford Racing 5.8-liter V8 producing around 850 hp. Can you say Fusion SVT?

2015 Ford Mustang production to begin on July 14? Not quite, says Ford

Mustang6g.com believes that it has unlocked start date for 2015 Ford Mustang production citing a Ford dealer communiqué. According to the report, job one on the 2015 hardtop will allegedly start in just a few days, on July 14, although units that are known as "OK to Buy" won't enter production until September 9. The cars built between those dates are most likely final pre-production cars for the executive test fleet, and will likely include the cars we'll be driving at the media launch.
Sun worshippers, meanwhile, would seem to have a longer wait. Job one on the droptop supposedly isn't slated to start until September 14, with production models starting on October 27. As is the case with the hardtop, these final pre-pros are for the execs and media to test, while actual dealer orders will come from vehicles made after the October date.
After speaking to Ford, though, we wouldn't put a great deal of stock in those dates as reported. We reached out to Said Deep, Ford's North American Product Communications Manager.

1969 Ford GT40 Mk III found roaming the halls in Geneva

The halls of the 2015 Geneva Motor Show are filled with all manner of exotic racing machinery, from the likes Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus to McLaren. But there's one peculiar bit of history tucked away that we thought you'd be equally interested to see: a 1969 Ford GT40 Mk III. One of only seven known to be built, this Mk III coupe was intended as a road-going alternative to earlier racing-bred GT40 models, like the original Mk I and 427-cubic-inch, Le Mans-dominating Mk II. Due to its street-legal intentions, the Ford GT40 Mk III boasted revised bodywork that allowed for some luggage and new headlights, along with a redesigned interior with left-hand-drive and a shifter in the normal, center position. The Mk III wasn't very popular when it was new in the 1960s, in part because it looked different from other GT40 models and because it was pretty expensive, but that just means it's an awfully rare gem today.
