4.6L v8 engine runs excellent, and transmission shifts fine. This Crown Vic P71 was involved in a collision to the driver side door and fender, it needs new control arms for that side and 1 brake line. No leaks aside from brake line from being pulled off when they dropped it off the tow. Body work is necessary, specifically a new bumper, grill, door, and corner lamps. There is some scratching near the passenger corner lamp. I just purchased it from the state troopers (highway miles only) and was going to get it smogged but was involved in an accident. I will give you the title, temporary registration card (all DMV fees are paid in full) and all maintenance paperwork ever done to the vehicle when it was at the agency. I put a new fuel filter in it since I bought it. I drove it 200 miles before the collision. Can be used for parts or repaired, it is a COMPLETE vehicle, no parts have been taken off of it and it has an immaculate interior. The tow truck drivers said the frame was not bent and the damage was repairable, I just don't have money left to repair it, the body parts are cheap at a junkyard. No check engine light. The police interceptor has around 300 idle hours and 160k freeway miles. Includes brand new Firestone Pursuit tires on it, and a spare. Ice cold a/c and a good working heater. Engine was just steam cleaned. All electrical systems work too, even the driver side window still functions. Starts up fast and idles smooth. Sold AS-IS. For tow away pick up only, it should not drive with the drivers wheel damage. Please see all photos.
ONLY BID IF YOU WILL BUY IT, NON-PAYING BUYERS ARE REPORTED TO EBAY AND A COLLECTION AGENCY IN THE STATE OF CA. VEHICLE MUST BE PAID IN FULL AND PICKED UP WITHIN 3 DAYS OF AUCTION END. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRENTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. SALE IS FINAL.

Next SVT Mustang may axe Shelby name, go naturally aspirated
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Following our first glimpse at the 2015 Ford Mustang out on the road, the fine folks at Road and Track have divulged some details on what the Blue Oval's next pony might have in store. We've already seen that the car will get some very sleek, Evos-inspired design cues, and an independent rear suspension is indeed in store. These new details, however, concern the muscle car's beating heart.
For starters, the base Ford coupe is expected to carry on with V6 power, likely from the same 3.7-liter unit found in today's car. From there, R&T says the next step up will be a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, likely displacing 2.3 liters, putting out as much as 350 horsepower. Of course, a Mustang wouldn't be a Mustang without V8 thrust, and R&T states that the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 will continue on into the 2015 car, making something like 450 horsepower.
But it's at the high end of the Mustang range where things will, reportedly, get very, very interesting. Road & Track claims that the top-shelf 'Stang will likely lose the supercharger from its engine, producing a metric crap-ton of naturally aspirated grunt instead. Additionally, the SVT-fettled Mustang will likely be dropping its Shelby moniker, in favor of "a name you're familiar with," according to the magazine (you know, like, Cobra).
Ford abandons MyFord Touch, all hail Sync 3 infotainment [w/video]
Thu, Dec 11 2014MyFord Touch has been among the most widely disdained automotive infotainment systems on the market, practically since its introduction in 2010. Consumer Reports was among the most vocal critics, all but advocating its lynching by an angry mob armed with torches and pitchforks. Not surprisingly, then, after such a critical walloping, Ford has finally decided to say goodbye to the unloved tech, declaring the end of MyFord Touch branding in favor of Sync 3 for its upcoming, all-new system. Ford is promising everything you would expect from Sync 3, including faster response time, better voice-command integration, easier controls and a more useable interface. The screen layout includes fewer items to make them easier to discern, and the icons are made from large, high-contrast buttons. There's also a dedicated tab for apps at the bottom of the screen in addition to those for audio, climate, phone and navigation. Another useful feature is the fact that Sync 3 can download improvements over your home Wi-Fi for easier updates. In addition to the revamped interface, the software running behind the scenes is a big change too. Rather than MyFord Touch's Microsoft-sourced system, Sync 3 uses the Blackberry-owned QNX, according to Automotive News. Such a switch was rumored earlier this year. Drivers still have to live with MyFord Touch a little longer, though. According to Automotive News, Ford said that the change to Sync 3 will happen during the 2016 model year with complete integration into the lineup by the end of the 2016 calendar year. It will come standard on Titanium trim models and as a separate option will be priced in line with the current MyFord Touch. The Sync 3 brand will carry over to Lincoln, too, but with a different look. The gallery above shows a few more looks at the interface, and we invite you to scroll down to watch a video of Sync 3 in action and to read Ford's press release about it, below.
