Up for sale is this clean and strong 2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. This unit was assigned to one supervisor Law Enforcement Agent working w/the Drug Enforcement Government Agency. It ONLY has 107K miles with just over 1900 Idling Hours. These are low hours below average since your average retired P71 comes with 5000 to 6000 ideling hours and I have seen them with as high as 14000 idling hours and the engine and tranny still running great and strong. The P71 is a legendary vehicle built to last and with proper on time maintenance it will last its civilian owner/family for many years. The engine in this unit runs very smooth, and very strong. You have to see it and test drive it in order to understand how nice and clean this unit really is. It comes with the highly desirable Street Appearance Package along with great factory Executive/Coach Cloth Seats that you don't usually see in Police Interceptors. The seats are in super clean shape with no rips, stains, or any odors of any kind. The back seat is very clean as if it was never even used. It also comes with black factory carpet with only few small signs of wear and tear on the driver side. By no means, this is a reliable Police Interceptor that is very responsive, strong, and super fast. Mechanically speaking, this is in great shape and absolutely needs nothing. This car has been really taken care of during its service. The AC blows very cold as it should and the heat works great. Every factory option in this car works as it should. Just inspected and ready for sale. Windows are clean with no cracks. The body is rust free. It is super clean underneath. Only minor scratches. The paint shines great. The tires have lots of tread. Only one tire in the front needs balanced and causes a very minor vibration. Other than that this car is ready to go. 2016 Ford Focus RS may yet be AWD, US sales likely
Fri, 29 Aug 2014When it comes to forbidden fruit, few vehicles are spoken of in as hushed a tone as the Ford Focus RS. The turbocharged, five-cylinder hot hatch could only be seen from afar by American customers as it tore up the roads of Europe. And while it's safe to say that Ford's Yankee fans are quite happy to now be on equal footing with drivers in the old country thanks to the Focus ST, we doubt there'd be much protestation over a successor to the RS arriving stateside.
Of course, we've seen images of the new RS undergoing testing, but a new story by Road and Track aims to fill in some very large blanks in our knowledge of that car, thanks to a pair of mysterious insiders at the Ford. Chief among those is this - the RS will almost certainly make its way to the US, albeit in limited quantities. It gets better, though.
Under hood, the new RS is unsurprisingly expected to borrow the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Lincoln MKC. While that twin-scroll turbo produces 310 horsepower in the Mustang and 285 ponies in the MKC, R&T expects the RS to deliver quite a bit more firepower - 325 to 350 hp, with preference going to the higher output due to the limited-edition nature of the RS. This roughly fits with previous reports.
FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.
