2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor Runs Good! on 2040-cars
Edinburg, Virginia, United States
2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor runs and drives good! I picked this up from the Sherriff's Office and drove it home a 2 hours trip and it runs and drives really good! The Sherriff's Office fleet maintained the vehicle every 3000 miles! (which is really good!) I was able to get most records for this vehicle. The car has just had the intake manifold replaced last spark plugs, 3 coils repaired at 174,394 at a cost of $996.89! (that's a free grand $1000 in parts & service that goes with the car!) The work was just done a 1000 miles ago. Then they replaced the car with a new Charger. I just had the oil & filter change, balance rotate the tires. Fuel filter change. The SRS light does come on sometimes. A common thing from removal of Police equipment. The car needs a detail, wash wax interior cleaned. If you're looking for a Crown Victoria P71 here is a good one that's been serviced and runs drives good! Starts up every time and is reliable! The car is located in Mt. Jackson, VA 22842 and payment to be by $250 deposit, and the balance cash on pick up or if your having the car shipped to you. The money must be wired to my bank account. NO CHECKS OF ANY KIND WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO PAYPAL FOR THE FULL AMOUNT. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK BEFORE BIDDING/BUYING. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS/IS AS SHOWN WITH NO WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. The car must be picked up within 3 days of winning bid. Thank you |

Ford investing $500M in engine plant for 2.7L EcoBoost production
Sun, 30 Mar 2014Ohio is a hot area for Ford at the moment with the announcement just a few weeks ago that production of the next-generation F-650/F-750 medium-duty trucks would move from Mexico to the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Ohio. Now, Ford is investing $500 million to hire 300 workers at its Lima Engine Plant in Lima, Ohio, to add production of the twin-turbo 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 for the 2015 F-150.
The latest investment will be used to add a new flexible engine assembly system and renovate 700,000 square feet of the plant for machining and assembly areas. The Lima factory already builds Ford's 3.5-liter and 3.7-liter Duratec V6 engines. The plant opened in 1957, and it's on track to build its 40 millionth engine later this year.
Ford claims that the 2.7-liter EcoBoost will offer V8 performance with better efficiency in the F-150. It comes standard with intelligent stop/start that doesn't activate when the truck is towing or in four-wheel drive, and it's made from a combination of compacted graphite iron and aluminum for low weight and high strength. The company says that V6 engines have already proven popular in the F-150 with 57 percent of trucks in 2014 being equipped with either the naturally aspirated 3.7-liter or turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost engines.
Ford Fusion production scaled back just 3 months after it was accelerated
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Three months after kicking off production of the Ford Fusion at its Flat Rock, MI factory, Ford Motor Company is taking steps to trim output in the face of heavily discounted competition from Toyota and a growing supply of vehicles.
The addition of Fusion production in Flat Rock - which also builds the Mustang - was meant to be what pushed the handsome mid-sizer past its arch-nemesis, the Toyota Camry. An extra facility building Fusions was also meant to curb the growing demand for Ford's highly profitable sedan.
But with word that Flat Rock would take "approximately" one extra week off for the holidays combined with an 88-day supply of Fusions - reportedly due in no small part to what Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas called "aggressive discounting of the Camry" - some analysts are now beginning to wonder if Ford may have overextended itself by adding a second Fusion facility to the mix.
2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid
Thu, 02 May 2013No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.
