2007 Ford Crown Vic Police Cruiser on 2040-cars
Madison, Connecticut, United States
I am the 3rd owner of this Dependable daily driver which is currently registered in Connecticut. Runs & drives good with good tires and is fun to drive.
*Extra equipment included; police push bar and mounting hardware, also police chrome wheel center covers, and blacked-out grill, I removed these items when I purchased the car. This car has an “oxygen sensor not ready" code and will need to be corrected in order to pass a Connecticut emissions test. The Air conditioning was always ice cold until last month, not working now….maybe just needs a recharge. it has dual magnaflow exhaust, sounds great...turns heads! This vehicle has 6227 engine hours. It also has aftermarket plastic wheelcovers and Chrome grill. The drivers spotlight works correctly and illuminates brightly. This is a former police car, so expect minor scratches and dings, and the ride of a vehicle with 109,000 miles. Please look closely at photos. Please note car will NOT come with the Scanner/speaker or trunk antenna. The drivers seat does not adjust forward & back, it is in a fixed position. There apparently used to be an emergency light on the dash so there is 4"x4" glue mark. the roof had a GPS and lightbar, so there are two sealed holes, see photos, they do NOT leak. There is NO spare tire. I have owned this car for two years...but I need to sell it to get $ for kids upcoming college expenses! |

Here's the new face of the Ford Ranger
Thu, Nov 27 2014Ford Asia Pacific has put a teaser video on YouTube showing off details on the 2015 Ranger pickup, and at the end we get a quick glimpse of the whole truck. This is the T6 Ranger that we still don't get in North America, but that shares its underpinnings with the Everest SUV recently introduced at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. The Ranger gets a chunkier front end than the Everest, identified by its grille with three floating slats, reminiscent of designs on the previous F-150, and a less-stylized lower front bumper. Ford says it will be smarter, safer, smoother and stronger, but we'll have to wait for its reveal to find out what that means. Meanwhile, you can admire its new looks in the video below.
Autocar pits Formula Ford against Germany's finest
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Ford has quite the racing pedigree, but usually, its racers are relegated to the track. Not the new Formula Ford EcoBoost, though. It's a turbocharged, open-wheeled racer complete with a 200-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine... and it's legal on the roads of the UK.
That's stressed in this video from Autocar, with the mag going so far as to show the car's tax disc and license plates. Being a road-legal offering, it's tempting to see just how well an open-wheeler that delivers racecar-like performance while also netting over 100 miles per gallon (assume this is on the British cycle, for obvious reasons) stacks up against modern performance cars.
Autocar lined up the Formula Ford against an Audi R8 V10, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe and a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in a number of situations to see which would come out on top. Take a look below for the full video.
MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms
Mon, 17 Jun 2013Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.
