2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Sedan 4-door 4.6l P71 Low Miles on 2040-cars
Cleveland, Ohio, United States
Up for auction is a fresh out of service well maintained Crown Victoria police interceptor with low mileage. Only 72,400 miles! Very hard to find near perfect Blue exterior. Just in from a southern state and it shows, a very clean car with no rust and rides like new coming from a county in VA with no pot holes... unlike here in Ohio. Interior is in great shape with NO cage holes or cut up or drilled dash. Options above standard include silicone hoses, adjustable pedals, power seat, full size hubcaps, legal tinted windows, door moldings installed. All accessories work as they should with no issues found. This is one of the cleanest best driving p71s of its age I have seen, the body is in excellent shape very shiny with no dents or scratches, only very minor normal imperfections that would be expected of a car its age that's been well taken care of. Engine runs perfectly and transmission shifts perfectly, tires are in great shape and brakes have approx. 75% life left. It has been fully serviced and checked over by a ASE certified mechanic and has no known issues. All body panels have factory vin stickers. This is an as-is vehicle We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. Located 10 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Airport, fly in and we'll pick you up and drive it home. We need the car paid for within a week, either by cash, certified funds or wire transfer. We would like the car picked within 14 days of auction ending, all funds must clear before vehicle will be released. There will be a $100 paperwork fee added on to the final sale price of the vehicle. We handle the transfer of the title. We will also have to collect the tax for your county if you live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina or Washington. We will not pay any shipping fees, but we would be glad to assist your shipper in picking up your vehicle, and have numbers for affordable shippers. If you have any questions, call Joe at 216-990-4369. Good luck bidding! |

This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
Ford looks to space robots to improve car-to-car communications [w/video]
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Ford has partnered with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for three years to research various kinds of connected vehicle communications. The university tie-up is part of its study of space robots, NASA systems created to enable space-to-Earth communication, and the university's own development of systems that enable communication between the International Space State and Earth.
The objective is for Ford to engineer layers of robust networks and redundancy systems that will allow your car to speak to other cars, to emergency vehicles, to infrastructure like traffic lights and buildings, and to the cloud. Benefits would come in just about every area of transit, from avoiding accidents, to getting medical workers to an accident more quickly, to improving the flow of traffic during rush hour.
Check out the press release below for details on what Ford wants to learn from the JUSTIN Humanoid and NASA Robonaut R2, and a video of technical leader Oleg Gusikhin discussing his interest in the project.
