2003ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor on 2040-cars
Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, United States
2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, Car has been sitting for two years, It has 77,320 original miles, It is not currently running and need the fuel pump replaced, It has no fuel pressure but if you spray starting fluid into the air intake it does start and run for a few seconds. I have a complete used fuel tank and pump the goes with the car.It has the police pushbar and working spotlight and also has the Dupont Kevlar bullet proof trunk liner in it. The body is very solid and has no visible rust, The underside and door jams are clean, It does have the usual dings dents and scratches from police use but I would say it is better than average. I does have a nice set of Goodyear tires on it and has a new matching full size spare in the trunk. It does have an area of paint loss on both 1/4 panels as seen in the pictures, It does seem this year was prone to this. The car also has an issue with the gear shift lever, Sometimes the shift lever will not come out of park position until you play with a bit to get it to release, This is an excellent buy for a dealer or mechanic, with some work this car has a very strong book value with the low milege. This car is available for inspection by appointment and please feel free to ask any questions.

Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum
Mon, 27 Jan 2014With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.
Project Ugly Horse: Part VII
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
Feds Probe Power Steering In 938,000 Ford Midsize Cars
Mon, Oct 6 2014U.S. safety regulators are investigating complaints that the power-assisted steering can suddenly fail on three Ford midsize car models. The probe covers 938,000 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars from the 2010 through 2012 model years, as well as the 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has received 508 complaints alleging that the cars lost power-assisted steering, causing increased steering effort. Four complaints say the problem caused crashes, but no injuries were reported. The agency says in documents posted Monday on its website that in many cases, a warning message appeared as the failure happened. Restarting the car corrected the problem in some cases, but the problem returned in others. The agency says it will check the scope and frequency of a problem. It could seek a recall. Ford says it's cooperating with the probe. Shares of Ford Motor Co. rose 6 cents to $14.65 in morning trading Monday. Its shares are down 14 percent over the past year.
