I PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM A SMALL DEPARTMENT IN FLORIDA THAT MY BROTHER IS THE MECHANIC FOR. THIS CAR WAS USED FOR CRASH INVESTIGATION AND WAS NEVER A PATROL VEHICLE. I PURCHASED THE CAR SIMPLY TO HAVE SOMETHING FUN AND RELIABLE TO DRIVE BUT HAVE SINCE BOUGHT A NEW DODGE CHARGER. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN MAINTAINED. WHEN THE CAR CAME UP FOR SALE MY BROTHER WAS VERY CONFIDENT THAT THIS WAS ONE OF THE NICEST CARS. IT WAS ASSIGNED TO THE SAME OFFICER SINCE IT WAS NEW. THE ONLY FLAW WITH THE CAR IS THE DRIVERS SEAT HAS A 2" TEAR FROM GETTING IN AND OUT. CAR HAS A CENTER CONSOLE IN IT AND INSIDE HAS NO OTHER FLAWS. SPOTLIGHT WORKS AS DOES INTERIOR TICKET LIGHT. THERE ARE NO HOLES FROM ANTENNAS ON THE EXTERIOR. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS AND MY BROTHER HOOKED ME UP WITH FRESH FLUIDS, BRAKES AND NEW TIRES BEFORE THE CAR WAS SOLD TO ME. I HAVE PUT AROUND 4,000 MILES ON THE CAR AND IT IS A BLAST TO DRIVE. WINDOWS ARE LIGHTLY TINTED. CAR IS LOCATED IN ATHENS, PA AND I CAN DRIVE IT TO BUYER FOR EXPENSES AND A TICKET HOME. I FLEW TO FLORIDA AND DROVE THE CAR BACK TO PA IN JANUARY. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS CAR AND I WOULD DRIVE IT ACROSS THE COUNTRY IN A HEARTBEAT. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME A CALL (607) 222-8499.

Ford to add Android Auto and CarPlay to 2016 SYNC 3 cars via update
Fri, May 19 2017Ford is updating a large number of 2016 model year cars equipped with SYNC 3 infotainment software, adding Android Auto and CarPlay to the vehicles with a free, over-the-air update via Wi-Fi, or using either USB or going through their dealer. The upgrade will be available for around 800,000 vehicles in total, giving a huge number of Ford car owners the chance to get big infotainment improvements without having to buy a newer model car. The OTA update option is also a big step for Ford – it's the company's first for software ever, and it's one of the major reasons that Ford recently hired around 400 new mobile smartphone engineers, the company tells me. For CarPlay, users will still also need to upgrade their vehicle's USB hub to make this work (which will also incur a dealer visit and a cost), but for those on Android, all that's required is a simple software installation. The USB install method is also faster, but the Wi-Fi update option is the start of the company's efforts to really increase its OTA update program, which will be used for security improvements as well as infotainment bumps. Even with a dealer visit and hardware upgrade for CarPlay, this sounds like a worthwhile thing for 2016 vehicle owners to do. CarPlay and Android Auto are huge upgrades vs. most in-car software, offering navigation and entertainment options that follow you from your phone to your car. Retroactively offering this kind of thing to car owners is a definite change in tone for carmakers, since they typically use these kinds of things as incentives to get people interested in vehicle model updates. But as data becomes increasingly important to automakers as a business, it makes sense to encourage greater in-car use of devices.Written by Darrell Etherington for TechCrunchRelated Video: Auto News Ford Lincoln Technology Infotainment android
Ford Escort returns... as a concept
Sat, 20 Apr 2013Ford is kickin' it old school at the Shanghai Motor Show for 2013 with a new Escort Concept - "a name that stirs up thoughts of basic, affordable transportation rather than great driving dynamics or bold design" as we said in our initial preview of the small C-segment sedan. Or, as Ford puts it, "Customers in China described seeking a vehicle that is stylish - but not one that is arrogant or pretentious." Potato, potahto...
It's an interesting amalgam of design notes with Ford's recent and stylish hexagonal grille up front, flanked by some pretty busy LED light clusters and chrome-trimmed air intakes at the lower extremities of the fascia, but the Escort Concept is not altogether unattractive. Besides its external appearance, we really don't have much information to report - Ford has not yet hinted at what may be powering this little machine, but we'd expect something with four cylinders and less that 2.0 liters of displacement sending a modest number of horses to the front tires.
It probably goes without saying, but we don't expect to see this Escort make its way to the United States, since we already have the Focus and the Fiesta battling it out in the econobox segment. That said, it's very likely to spawn a production model that will roll out here in China and in other developing market where multiple C-segment entries are becoming increasingly common. Check out our high-res image gallery of live images above, and let us know what you think of the car's styling, then scroll down below for the official press release.
Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation
Sat, 09 Aug 2014
The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
