2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor 143,000 miles, retired Detective Vehicle Up for auction is a beautiful and nearly brand new condition Retired Police Interceptor. "Police Interceptor" is a special designation given to Crown Victoria's made specifically for the purpose of being a law enforcement vehicle. While this designation simply limits this vehicle to having an AM/FM radio head unit, it includes a special computer chipping that maximizes engine performance and horsepower. Additionally, this vehicle has been specially modified with police specification gear ratios which maximize power and torque. THIS CAR IS FAST! This vehicle is in excellent running and driving condition as it has been regularly maintained by professionals throughout its service with a local police agency. Unlike retired patrol vehicles, this ex-detectives vehicles has suffered VERY LITTLE interior wear and is in wonderful condition. The exterior paint is also nearly flawless with the exception of normal minor scratches and wear. A huge plus, this Police Interceptor also includes a very rare and expensive partition cage which is used to detain prisoners in the back seats of the vehicle. Ken Block shows us around his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax

Based on the previous-gen Ford F-150 SVT Raptor - the one with the steel frame and V8 engine - Block's back country snowmobile on steroids packs a set of tracks at each corner, a full roll cage, equipment rack, lighting, jump seats, survival gear... everything he could need for a trip off road. The Gymkhana master showcased the beast a couple of months ago on the slopes of Baldface in Nelson, BC, but now he's followed up with a less eye-popping but more informative clip in which he shows us everything his RaptorTrax has to offer. Toyota, Ford and Honda again top Consumer Reports Car-Brand Perception Survey
Fri, 01 Feb 2013Consumer Reports has released its annual Car-Brand Perception Survey, and the list looks awfully familiar. The top six brands are identical to last year's results, with Toyota, Ford and Honda continuing to occupy the podium. All told, Toyota walked away with 133 points, putting it 15 ahead of second-place Ford. Honda jumped 26 points this year, narrowing Ford's lead to just four points in total.
Consumer Reports polls buyers from across the country on how they see multiple brands in seven categories, including quality, safety, value, performance, design/style, technology/innovation and environmentally friendly/green. Researchers then combine the findings to come up with the total brand score.
While value and performance remain important to buyers, CR found quality and safety are still on top when it comes to significance. Scion and Mitsubishi found themselves at the bottom of the pack with the worst score of all, tied at just six points. Ram, Fiat and Mini filled out the lowest five with scores of seven, eight and 10 points, respectively.
