2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Sedan 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Paramus, New Jersey, United States
i have for sale a 2000 ford crown Victoria have owned the car for a little over a year now and am selling simply because i don't drive it any more.rather then let it sit and waste away id rather see it go to some one else who will appreciate it as much as i.Things i have done to the car since i have owned it include-
2 new tires up front replaced ti rod ends power steering pump new grill up front (just spray painted white but looks alot better then the stock honey comb grill in my opinion. new H.I.D head lights and marauder corner lights. This setup up is not the cheapo plug and play setups you see the Honda guys driving around with.this cost me about 450 for every thing and has the projectors in the head lights.all they need is for the high beams to be wired up (iv never needed them so i never bothered) and for the head lights to be aligned. The light it puts out is nice and crisp and clean. I had a new starter alternator and battery put it (the battery was the original motocraft from when the car was new so it was time) the alternator was making noise so i replaced it and the starter wouldn't engage some times. I had a new tank installed as the old one was starting to rust around the straps (common on ford panther vehicles) so i had a brand new one installed along with fuel pump and fuel filter , New euahst set up put in is a little loud for my taste but does sound good straight piped from the cats back along with new h pipe and tail pipes installed, passenger side is still original but i have the new pipe in my garage waiting to go on. I had a new body painted rear fascia put on instead of the factory black one.(looks alot better. I also installed new l.e.d tail lights and 3rd brake light lastly the last thing i have done is i just recently had new side view mirrors installed that match the body of the car. The car also has a Bluetooth ken wood head unit now things that the car needs: the passenger side cats need to be replaced.was getting around to it but it has been to cold to work on the car. it has an evap leak some were not sure if it is from when the tank was replaced or under the hood from when i put the new intake manifold on. speaking of which it may need a new intake manifold.its not bad hasn't been causing a miss fire or nothing serious i just noticed the intake was leaking in October and maybe added coolant since then.i still drive the car when its not snowing and really just semi retired it beginning this month since i just purchased my truck.the leak really isnt serious i had a new intake installed in spring and i guess it didn't seal right around the coolant port for the heater core in back it needs an alignment after i did the front end i never did this although i may still do it as it is not something i can do my self any way. and lastly it needs a windshield.i was driving mid November and something whacked my windshield.it is right above the rear view mirror so it never bothered me and i just lived with it.some people i could see it being annoying to how ever. I also had the whole under side frame and every thing under the car painted in p.o.r 15.This is serious stuff and stops the car from rusting along with leaving the frame looking nice and painted. This is what professionals use when restoring cars if you have never heard of it google it it is really good stuff. I also had a aftermarket valve body installed so the car shifts real nice and hard now.Along with a trans service car has a valid inspection sticker until 2015. I also have a whole bunch of spare parts for this car hub caps ,stock head lights, tail lights, coils, injectors,im sure there is more but i cant renumber. if interested please contact me any time..The cats being the most expensive thing she needs i found on rock auto for 150. thanks for looking. |

Watch Ford build a Mustang atop Burj Khalifa, world's tallest building
Sun, Nov 23 2014In 1965, a Ford Mustang Convertible proudly went on display at the top of the Empire State Building, the world's tallest building at the time. Earlier this year, the Blue Oval recreated the stunt by bringing the latest droptop 'Stang to the sky-high structure. Unfortunately, while still iconic, the New York skyscraper has lost the world title. Of course, an automaker can't let something like that get in the way of a good publicity stunt. For the inauguration of the Ford business unit in the Middle East and Africa, the brand gave the 2015 Mustang Convertible an even bigger building to climb – the biggest in fact. The droptop made its way to the 112th floor of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. To put a final topper on the whole event, executive chairman Bill Ford was the one to place the car's famous badge, making it complete. Like with the Empire State Building spectacle, getting the Mustang to the top wasn't as simple as just driving it off the elevator. Check out the video above to see how it was done, and scroll down to read Ford's press release about the event. Tanner Foust tackles 'Ring in SVT Raptor
Sat, 16 Mar 2013Here's a math problem: if Tanner Foust has a 24 hours to kill in Germany and one blue Ford Raptor, how long will it take him to decide he wants to lap The Nürburgring? Extra credit if you can get your answer precise to the millisecond.
A very truck-like and slidey lap of the 'Ring is exactly what happened when the Ford-sponsored rallycross driver took time off from set-up duties for his 'day job.' Thankfully no one even thought to worry about posting a time, but you can watch some Raptor skid marks getting laid down between the kerbs in the video below.
Next SVT Mustang may axe Shelby name, go naturally aspirated
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Following our first glimpse at the 2015 Ford Mustang out on the road, the fine folks at Road and Track have divulged some details on what the Blue Oval's next pony might have in store. We've already seen that the car will get some very sleek, Evos-inspired design cues, and an independent rear suspension is indeed in store. These new details, however, concern the muscle car's beating heart.
For starters, the base Ford coupe is expected to carry on with V6 power, likely from the same 3.7-liter unit found in today's car. From there, R&T says the next step up will be a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, likely displacing 2.3 liters, putting out as much as 350 horsepower. Of course, a Mustang wouldn't be a Mustang without V8 thrust, and R&T states that the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 will continue on into the 2015 car, making something like 450 horsepower.
But it's at the high end of the Mustang range where things will, reportedly, get very, very interesting. Road & Track claims that the top-shelf 'Stang will likely lose the supercharger from its engine, producing a metric crap-ton of naturally aspirated grunt instead. Additionally, the SVT-fettled Mustang will likely be dropping its Shelby moniker, in favor of "a name you're familiar with," according to the magazine (you know, like, Cobra).
