I am selling a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. It has very low miles for the year at only 90,500 miles. The car was used by a fire department and not by the police so it wasn't abused or used all day every day. The car runs and drives great. The motor is very strong and the transmission shifts very good. The body does have scratches and scuffs and one dent just behind the rear drivers door which can be seen in the pictures. There is absolutely no rust on this car! There are no holes in the roof. There are 3 holes in the trunk for antennas. All the lights on the car work. The interior is clean and has a full cloth bench seat and a cloth rear seat. The interior was from a grand marque. The air bag lite is on I believe due to the seat being changed. Also the seat is power but that needs to be hooked up to work or changed back to a non power seat. The seats need to be cleaned but there are no rips, holes or tears. The rest of the interior is in good shape. No check engine lights. The radio does not work and would need to be replaced. All the windows work but only from the drivers controls. My guess was a bad window lock switch but I am not sure. The ticket light works but the lens is missing. The car drives very good but does need an alignment I think. The tires are all new. There is no spare tire or jack. Just had a heater hose replaced and wiper motor. Overall, this is an excellent running car with very low miles for its age. This vehicle is being sold as is and as described, so the winning bid is the price that takes home the car, no exceptions. I described this car as accurately as possible and listed every thing wrong that I know of. I don't want there to be any surprises. I welcome you to come and inspect the car before you buy it. I will not ship or deliver the car anywhere but will help any way I can. Please feel free to ask any questions. Please serious bidders only. A $200 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending. |

Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]
Wed, 29 May 2013Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Scroll down for a quick video of what the Focus ST exhaust sounds like, as well as a Roush press release.
Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception
Tue, 25 Sep 2012It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.
Ford demonstrates Mustang's new Line Lock burnout feature
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Been saving your pennies for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Put in a few extra shifts or some overtime? Got a great down payment ready? Well, however much you saved for your new pony car, start saving more - you'll need the extra money to spend on tires.
That's because the Mustang will come with a system called Line Lock, which can lock the front brakes electronically, allowing drivers to perform big, dumb, smoky burnouts without moving so much as an inch. It's sort of like launch control, only the average driver might actually use it.
Now, line locks aren't uncommon, particularly in drag racing. Usually, a flip of the switch locks the front brakes. The Mustang, besides offering the system from the factory which is unique in and of itself, looks a bit more involved.
