2000 FORD CROWN VICTORIA LX
METALLIC SILVER with GREY LEATHER INTERIOR
FOR SALE BY OWNER.
I BOUGHT THE CAR OFF A 3 YEAR LEASE FROM A BUSINESS EXECTUTIVE IN 2003.
THE CAR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. WITH NO DENTS, SCRATCHES, RUST. I WAXED THE CAR REGULARLY AND THE ORIGINAL PAINT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
THE ONLY ISSUE WITH THE PAINT IS A MINOR BLEMISH ON WHEEL OPENING OF EACH FRONT FENDER THAT CAN BE EASILY FIXED. YOU HAVE TO LOOK HARD TO SEE IT. THE REAR BUMPER HAS A FEW TYPICAL BLEMISHES THAT ALSO CAN BE TOUCHED UP.
FEATURES:
LX (LUXURY) MODEL LEATHER 6 WAY POWER FRONT SEATS, POWER WINDOWS, POWER LOMBAR SUPPORT, SPORT SUSPENSION, FACTORY 16" ALUMINUM WHEELS, VERY GOOD TIRES, BRAKES, TOW PACKAGE WITH AIR SUSPENSION. (BUT THE CAR NEVER WAS USED TO TOW ANYTHING).
IT ALSO HAS AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL AND PREMEIUM SOUND RADIO WITH CD PLAYER.
I AM AN AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC OWNER AND I MADE REGULAR OIL CHANGES WITH Mobil1 OIL, ALSO CHANGED TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER SCREEN CHANGED 2X, RADIATOR FLUSHED WITH PRESTONE ANTI-FREEZE,
THE CAR RUNS GREAT. YOU WILL LOVE THE WAY ITS DRIVES AND STOPS. I REPLACED ALL BRAKES AND ROTORS RECENTLY.
THIS IS A GOOD SOLID CAR. DEPENDABLE TRANSPORTATION.
BRING YOUR PLATES AND DRIVE IT HOME. EVERYTHING WORKS.
EMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU WANT TO SEE A SPECIFIC PHOTO
MY VERY BOTTOM LINE IS $4,000.00 WHICH IS VERY REASONABLE.

Car-crazy 5-year-old boy writes automakers for treasures, gets big response
Fri, Jan 25 2019Part of the beauty of children is that they can find worth in something adults might deem unworthy or overlook entirely. Five-year-old Patch Hurty didn't see garbage or a broken piece of a car when he spotted a Ford badge lying on the side of a road. He saw an artifact, a souvenir, a start to a collection he could only dream of. Ezra Dyer of Popular Mechanics tells the story of Patch and his quest to turn that one lost badge into a museum of manufacturer logos. According to the article, Hurty is a car fanatic through and through, even using car names as a way of learning to read. After finding the Ford badge near his Connecticut home, he and his mom put together a plan to reach out to dozens of automakers, confessing his love of things on four wheels. In each letter, Patch assembled a picture of himself standing next to one of the cars, and a penny to pay for whatever he hoped was sent his way. The response was unexpectedly and overwhelmingly positive. Of the more than 50 letters he sent out, including to obscure or defunct companies such as Bugatti, Suzuki, and Saturn, a majority responded with warm notes and some type of souvenir. Two of the coolest responses came from Lincoln and Bentley. Lincoln sent a sketch of a Continental (all car lovers enjoy drawing cars, right?), and Bentley sent a wheel center cap. How awesome is that? The story reminds us of something that can easily be lost in all of the negativity involved with the auto industry: Everybody is in this because of a common infatuation with automobiles. For more details on the souvenirs Patch received and accompanying photos, read the rest of the story. Ford issues four recalls covering 163k vehicles
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Recalls! 2014 will be forever remembered as the year that automakers went recall crazy, with millions and millions of vehicles adding up to crush previous recall records well before the end of the year. Adding to that tally is Ford, which announced a call-back for 163,000 vehicles.
Leading that charge are the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder engines of the Ford Focus ST and Ford Escape. 160,000 of the 2013 and 2014 models have bad wiring harnesses that can disrupt the signals traveling to the powertrain control module. That, in turn, could lead to a check engine light, reduced power and stalling. Notably, Ford hasn't recalled any other vehicles that feature the 2.0 EcoBoost, such as the Fusion, Taurus or Explorer.
While the Focus ST and Escape constitute the vast majority of recalled vehicles, they aren't the only problem children in the Ford family. 1,300 Transit passenger vans from model year 2015 were recalled due to brake fluid leaks, while another 600 Transit cargo variants were recalled after Ford discovered the windowless sliding doors could come open in the event of a side-impact crash. Dealers will replace the sealing washers on the passenger variants and add a reinforcement plate on the cargo models, The Detroit News reports.
Ford looks to space robots to improve car-to-car communications [w/video]
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Ford has partnered with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for three years to research various kinds of connected vehicle communications. The university tie-up is part of its study of space robots, NASA systems created to enable space-to-Earth communication, and the university's own development of systems that enable communication between the International Space State and Earth.
The objective is for Ford to engineer layers of robust networks and redundancy systems that will allow your car to speak to other cars, to emergency vehicles, to infrastructure like traffic lights and buildings, and to the cloud. Benefits would come in just about every area of transit, from avoiding accidents, to getting medical workers to an accident more quickly, to improving the flow of traffic during rush hour.
Check out the press release below for details on what Ford wants to learn from the JUSTIN Humanoid and NASA Robonaut R2, and a video of technical leader Oleg Gusikhin discussing his interest in the project.
