1967 FORD BRONCO HALF CAB

THIS THREE SPEED ON THE TREE BRONCO HAS 47000 MILES

This half cab was purchased by the construction company that built McDonell Douglas and the GM plant in St Louis MO.

The supervisor and his crew drove it around the construction sites, when the supervisor was done with these jobs he purchased it from the company. He took it to Hermann MO and drove it on his land for a year. Than he completed an off the frame restoration, the motor only has 10000 miles on it but the truck itself only has 47000 miles.

It has been sitting in storage for ten years. Cleaned out the fuel lines, took the tank off, put in a carb kit, put in a new battery, changed the oil and added just a little more than needed to lube every thing and she fired right up. I have since changed the oil again and it starts on the first turn and runs like a top. I am waiting for the front signal covers that I ordered. The color is factory eddie bauer green. The cab is carpeted and so is the back end under the cover.

There is no rust it is very clean the front floor pans were changed with new steel and coated, all other metal is original uncut fenders.  I noticed that the left side leaf springs is one less than the right one so a leaf needs to be added.

The pictures tell the story of how well this was kept, If you have any questions before bidding please ask, communication is key. Remember this is a 1967 vehicle it has some imperfections. Please be serious about the purchase no scammers allowed.

There will be a $500 deposit via paypal within 48 hours and the bronco will have to be picked up or you arrange shipping after the complete amount is paid.

Bronco is listed on other sites I Reserve the right to remove this Item if sold elsewhere.

Jerry Seinfeld doesn't love Sarah Jessica Parker's new Country Squire in latest CiCGC

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has finally returned for its fourth season of combining Jerry Seinfeld, a miscellaneous celebrity and a cup of java. But rather than fondly remembering some older piece of automotive machinery, this time around, Seinfeld is utterly unable to keep his hatred of Sarah Jessica Parker's 1976 Ford LTD Country Squire from coming out to hilarious effect.
However, Parker has such a high level of infectious enthusiasm for her recently purchased Country Squire that she seems to win over Seinfeld by the end - at least a little bit. For most of their time together, the two of them drive around Manhattan and the suburbs waxing nostalgic about what things were like when these wagons were ubiquitous.
Since this is actually SJP's car, she and Seinfeld trade off driving duties, and the image above should give you some indication of Seinfeld's reaction to the Sex and the City star behind the wheel. It seems this '70s land yacht might be a little too much for her to handle in New York traffic. Regardless, she is absolutely in love with her Ford.

Ford looks to space robots to improve car-to-car communications [w/video]

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Ford has partnered with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for three years to research various kinds of connected vehicle communications. The university tie-up is part of its study of space robots, NASA systems created to enable space-to-Earth communication, and the university's own development of systems that enable communication between the International Space State and Earth.
The objective is for Ford to engineer layers of robust networks and redundancy systems that will allow your car to speak to other cars, to emergency vehicles, to infrastructure like traffic lights and buildings, and to the cloud. Benefits would come in just about every area of transit, from avoiding accidents, to getting medical workers to an accident more quickly, to improving the flow of traffic during rush hour.
Check out the press release below for details on what Ford wants to learn from the JUSTIN Humanoid and NASA Robonaut R2, and a video of technical leader Oleg Gusikhin discussing his interest in the project.

Did a US automaker blow the whistle on Hyundai, Kia fuel economy issue?

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

In all of the most hotly contested mainstream segments of the motoring universe, the difference of one mile per gallon averaged on a widow sticker can mean the difference between a sale and a walk-off - to say nothing of two or three mpg. So, when Hyundai and Kia were forced to reveal that many of their 40-mpg ratings were actually 38s and 37s, well, it made for big news.
It also, conceivably, made for a competitive disadvantage immediately, when the Korean automakers' products were being shopped versus the guys down the block. And it's that disadvantage that makes a recent story from Automotive News so juicy.
AN is reporting that Margo Oge, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Transportation and Air Quality, got a tip in 2010 that Hyundai/Kia were "cheating" to get its impressive fuel economy numbers. The tip, said Oge (who retired from the EPA this past September), came from a senior vice president from a domestic automaker. The source was credible enough for Oge to launch an audit of the Hyundai figures, which ultimately lead to the debacle that we reported on a few months ago, and that the Korean company has been trying to bounce back from ever since.
