Fully Restored 1967 Ford Bronco Sport on 2040-cars

US $35,000.00
Year:1967 Mileage:1000
Location:

1967 Ford Bronco Sport.

This truck has been meticulously restored.  I removed the body and disassembled the chassis.  Everything was blasted and powder coated.  The tub was blasted, primed and Al's linered on the underside.  The interior portion of the tub was ceramic coated and then Al's linered.

I have a little over 600 miles on her so far.

Brand new crate 302 engine with a Edelbrock performer intake and Holley 600 cfm manual choke carb.

From the factory she came with 4:11 gears and track lock front and rear.  I have new bearing and seals throughout the axles.  The front diff is the original Dana 30 and I have gone through it all including the king pins.

Both the 3speed Transmission and Dana 20 have been refreshed with new bearings and seals.  The Dana 20 is the original T style shifter and the 3 Speed is mounted on the floor.

Some things I have added are the Power steering set up with a Delphi box, Front disk brake conversion, and also the power brake conversion, and also upgraded the wiper set up from vacuum to electric, and I have also installed a tach.

I tried to keep the dash stock for the 67 year, however I added the switch for the dual fuel tank selector, and also the wiper switch.   The dash was already cut for an after market radio so I kept that and installed a nice Sony system with 4 speakers cut into the fiberglass quarter panel inserts.

The interior has a new black carpet and fiberglass quarter panel inserts.  The front seats are stock buckets with Mustang Pony trim, the rear seat is a Tom's fold and tumble.

The body has two new front fenders, and a new steel hood.  Nothing else needed to be replaced.  PPG paints and 3m seam sealers were used.  I have extra paint left over that will come with the Bronco.  I also have front fender flares that are painted but I did not want to drill into the new fenders.

The roof is a Ramage soft top.

The wheels are Pro Comp 17in, with 285 70 17 mud terrain tires.

The new owner will also receive a disc with all the photos of the restoration.  I have really enjoyed building this Bronco.  She was in far better shape than my orange 75 (Chewch).  The new owner will enjoy her for many years and miles.

Please email any questions.

Ford doubling 1.0L EcoBoost engine production

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine hasn't been around that long, but it sounds like the engine is getting to be fairly popular in the automaker's global car lineup. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford has add a second shift that will allow its German engine plant to double daily output from 500 engines to 1,000.
The increased capacity is part of a plan to sell more than 300,000 vehicles a year with this engine in Europe by 2015. Europe is currently the only market where the smallest of the EcoBoost engines is offered (including in the Focus pictured above), but US-spec Fiesta models will be getting this mill for 2014.
Three-cylinder engines are expected to continue to grow in popularity in coming years with the report indicating that global production of these engines will double by 2018 to 9.8 million units. General Motors, BMW and Mitsubishi are all expected to introduce three-cylinder engines in the near term, as well.

Ford recalls Explorer and Lincoln MKC for fire hazard

Thu, Mar 31 2016

The Basics: Ford will recall 5,536 examples of the 2016 Explorer and 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC. The Explorers have build dates between October 20, 2014, and January 28, 2016, at the Chicago Assembly Plant. The MKCs are from between November 25, 2013, and January 25, 2016, at the Louisville Assembly Plant. In total, there are 3,129 total affected examples of the 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2,407 examples of the 2016 Ford Explorer. Of these, 1,543 are in the US and 3,993 are in Canada. The Problem: The combination of the engine block design and the block heater in these vehicles can cause the part to overheat when plugged in. Injuries/Deaths: None reported, but there are two cases of underhood fires in Canada. If you own one: Ford will begin notifying owners during the week of May 16, company spokesperson John Cangany tells Autoblog. Related Video: Ford issues safety recall for certain 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles to replace engine block heaters Ford is issuing a safety recall for approximately 5,500 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles to remove the heaters and replace them with an updated design. The engine block design, coupled with the particular block heater installed in these vehicles, causes the unit to be susceptible to overheating when the vehicle is parked and the block heater is plugged in –increasing the risk of an underhood fire. Ford is aware of two reports of underhood fires in Canada, but is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue. Affected vehicles include certain 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC vehicles built at Louisville Assembly Plant, Nov. 25, 2013 through Jan. 25, 2016 and certain 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles built at Chicago Assembly Plant, Oct. 20, 2014 through Jan. 28, 2016. There are 5,536 vehicles affected by the issue, including 3,129 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC and 2,407 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles, with 1,543 of the affected vehicles in the United States and federalized territories and 3,993 in Canada. Dealers will remove and replace the engine block heater with an updated design and, if needed, replace the cord at no cost to the customer.

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

Tue, 25 Sep 2012

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.
